The statue features a large American flag with two small swords below itrepresenting Patton's accomplishments during World War II including leading Ulysses S Grant's army into France during Operation Overlord while also leading Allied forces through Sicily and Italy campaign as well as commanding forces in Korea against Japanese forces during World War II
