The Chandler, Arizona Coast Guard Station is one of the oldest and most important coast guard stations in the United States. The station has been in operation since 1907. The mission of the Coast Guard Station is to provide law enforcement and security for the community of Chandler, as well as support other government agencies. Since its inception, the station has played a significant role in safeguarding our coastline and promoting maritime safety. In 1957, the Chandler unit became one of only two coast guard stations east of the Mississippi River to adopt an electronic command system. This system allowed for more efficient communication between units on board ships and ashore.
