A company founded by Mormon settlers called "Havasu Mining and Manufacturing Company" mined coal and other minerals around what is now Havasupai Lake until 1865 when a large fire destroyed much of the mine; however, some prospectors still continued to prospect for ore around present day Havasupai Valley until 1875 when allmining operations ceased due to competition from silver mines in California! On February 14th 1912, a group of citizens from Flagstaff formed incorporation as town of Lake Havasu City with a population of 10 residents! The name “Lake Havasu City” had been chosen by Samuel Morse who rode his horse across the namesake river which flows through downtown today just east of Apache Boulevard! When incorporated into Pima County as a city it had an estimated population size of 100 residents only!!! In 1960 census Lake Havasu City had an estimated population size of 309,839 making it one Of The Most populous Cities In America At That Time

This paper will focus on the gift history of two particular types of maritime gifts: Marine Artifacts Artifacts from all over the world have been donated to the Marine Gift History project. The most common type of artifact donation is artwork, but there are also donations of historical items, tools, vehicles, and other maritime memorabilia. There are many reasons why art may be chosen as a donor for this project – from appreciation for naval architecture and engineering to heritage significance. Some examples include USS Constitution Museum in Philadelphia, PA which contributed 4 pieces of cannons that once adorned an upper deck; USS Tahitian (LPD-5) which gifted a 1971 vintage .50 caliber machine gun; HMS Osprey (D8) which offered a 1967 set of 12 antique corvettes; or HMS Sutherland (D14) which gifted a 1907 torpedo tube launcher. In recent years, marine gift donations have become more popular due to interest in maritime culture around the world and the increasing popularity ofauticalthemed calendars and toys. There are three general categories within the Maritime Gift History Project: 1) Vessels 2) Tools 3) Vehicles This article will focus on Vessels as they contribute most significantly to our understanding of marine gift history. Vessels can be divided into three main categories: warships, submarines, and fishing boats/craft. Each category has its own distinguished history with respect to gifts and donations from various countries around the world.

Businesses like lumber mills, mines, breweries, movie theaters, flour mills and saddlesmiths sprang up all around town as farmers grew crops or mined coal or uranium near water Sources such as irrigation canals (arterial water), electric power (from Hoover Dam) and telephone service made Havasa one of America's leading cities by 1920. During World War II 1941-1945 Lake Havasu City was an important construction site for Lockheed Aircraft; many Lockheed plants were located there including: Renton WA – Waco TX – Monterrey MX - Salt Lake City UT - El Cajon CA - Irvine CA . Many small businesses also thrived during this time such as Black Jack Saloon where jukeboxes stocked with western music blared nonstop until morning because that was how much money everyone earned! One interesting fact about post-WWII Havasa is that almost all buildings constructed in this time have been demolished or replaced since then due to obsolescence issues with newer technologies!
