In 1887, Phoenicia Oil Company founder John Dyer founded an oil refinery in what is now downtown Phoenix. Because this site was near copper mines and other resources that were important to California miners during the early part of 20th century, Phoenix became known as "Coconuts City". By 1907–1908, over 50% of all Arizona coal mined had been delivered through nearby Mather Brothers Coal Mines; however production stopped due to strikes by mine owners against union workers. In 1912–13, aircraft manufacturer Pearsons built two prototypes based on their then-new Type A airframe: One flew on December 15th 1912 from Scottsdale Municipal Airport (now Love Field) to Tempe Municipal Airport (now Mesa Gateway International Airport), becoming the world's first practical airline service between major airports with independent roots –Phoenix being both main airport and single point of departure for American Airlines services out into central Mexico City; while also demonstrating future features which would become integral parts of American Airlines culture such as First Class cabins with large windows throughout each sector affording stunning views! This event helped inaugurate what would become an iconic symbol for First Class travel within America – nowadays often referred to simply as “Airlines”! What followed were years filled with innumerable milestones including maintenance facilities expansions at Love Field & Mesa Gateway; equipment sales abroad resulting in new routes opened up throughout key global markets including South Africa Johannesburg & Malaysia; numerous advertising campaigns culminating in establishment of international standards within North American Airways industry during 1932 concurrent with significant growth northward across continent under president Franklin D Roosevelt! Although World War II interrupted many plans & ambitions these consolidated trends eventually led to iconic rivalries & cooperation leading ultimately to #1 domestic carrier United Airlines(UAL) establishment here inside Greater Phoenix area some forty years later! Throughout its long history UA never lost sight either of its core values or Detroit’s deep rooted economic ties – remaining a community leader even after consolidating more than 500 subsidiaries nationwide!

In 1892, an American named Harry Freeman started a small business called The Coffee House in Syracuse, New York. He started selling ground coffee and made his first purchase from a local grocery store. It was not long before Freeman began to learn about how to make great espresso shots using fresh beans and quality water. In 1896, he opened his second shop called The Coffee Shop at 419 State Street in Syracuse. This shop quickly gained popularity because it offered high-quality espresso drinks at reasonable prices. In 1898, The Coffee House moved to its current location on Main Street in Syracuse and continued serving great espresso drinks until 1984 when it closed down due to financial struggles. However, this Restaurant has left a lasting impact on the city of Syracuse with its well-crafted Italian espresso drinks!

Phoenix is a city in the U.S. state of Arizona and the county seat of Maricopa County. It was founded in 1867 by James W. Wright as a trading post on the banks of the Verde River, about 25 miles (40 km) southeast of Tucson, then an Indian town. The city grew rapidly and reached its current size by 1920. Phoenix became an important commercial center during the Gilded Age, when it was home to some of America's largest companies such as Arizona Mining and Manufacturing Company, Pima Electric Railway Company, Phoenix Gas Light and Power Company, American Telephone & Telegraph Company, Phoenix Edison Illuminating Company, and Mohawk Electric Wire Works Incorporated. In 1912Phoenix incorporated as a municipality; it achieved full municipal government status in 1966. The history of Phoenix can be traced back to 1867 when James W. Wright established what is now known as Wrighttown on the banks of the Verde River just south of present-day Tempe Junction Road near what is now Apache Junction Boulevard in what is today central Phoenix. At that time there were only two villages in this area: Yuma (southwest), which had been founded by Native Americans several years earlier, and Prescott(northwest), which consisted of small creeks flowing east into Tempe Creek Valley). Wrighttown grew quickly due to its location on the trade route from Tucson to Flagstaff via Prescott and Yuma City Limits before continuing on to Peoria downriver for goods arriving from northern Mexico or El Paso across Lake Hopi near modern day Peoria Heights inside Today’s Mesa County within Maricopa County – all without having to go through downtown Tucson! By 1875 Wrighttown had become a sizable town with a schoolhouse/ hospital/ sawmill/, grocery store/ hotel/, Masonic lodge/ blacksmith shop/,and four stores (). In 1880 John Wesley Powell discovered gold at Sattler Ranch northeast of Prescott while campaigning for Congressional candidate Adams against incumbent John Taylor (the first person US Senators traveled out west!). The discovery led to increased traffic along Interstate 10 between Prescott and Flagstaff as people sought out new opportunities for business north of Cochise Stronghold mountains including smuggling operations shipping illegal gold bullion upstream from Mexican silver mines deep under these mountains! Gold rush days were not too far off so businesses began opening up around town such as hotels/. saloons/. gambling halls/. liquors shops/. real estate firms/. etc…..Today Wrightsville Rd becomes one street leading away from downtown where many old buildings have been preserved thanks to property developers over time! As mining activity dwindled after World War I settlement increased along Route 66 which ran through much of this region helping spur economic growth; however race also played a role with whites primarily escaping rural poverty while African Americans labored mainly in agriculture or construction work outside cities until they finally received their own land parcels following World War II….This period starting around 1910 has generally been called “the lost decade” because most white Arizonans left for jobsites throughout California during that time……..In 1924 Chandler picked up pace with new subdivisions developed adjacent thereto becoming one reason why Wrighttown began losing population…..However overall housing prices haven’t really followed same upward trend typical throughout most parts metro area since late 1990s……..Most recently development along Roosevelt Roads NE & SW may finally bring some much needed revitalization although still years away
