Forrest City is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. It was founded in 1865 by Forrest and his brother Dallas. The first post office in Forrest City was established in 1867. The population of Forrest City was 1,824 at the 2000 census. The city has a rich coffee history dating back to 1865 when Forrest and his brother Dallas founded Forrest City as a small town near the current site of Little Rock. In that year, they discovered coffee beans on their farm and started to sell them to local merchants. By 1870, the brothers had built a large coffee plantation and began producing high-quality coffee for local markets. In 1888, they sold their plantation to Drury & Company for $26,000 cash. Over the years, Forrest City has become an important center for coffee production and commerce in Pulaski County. Today, it remains one of the most significant towns inArkansas for its Coffee Heritage Museum which contains more than 20 thousand historical items related to the industry including artifacts from over 100 different farms throughout Pulaski County!

In 1906 the first school opened in Forrest City. The area around Forrest City became known for its phosphate resources during World War I when many companies located there mined phosphate rock for munitions production. After the war, much of the industry moved away from Forrest City because of competition from other towns in Arkansas that had been granted mineral rights to mine phosphate deposits. In the early 21st century, Forrest City has experienced some growth as a result of new businesses starting up or being added to the local economy: a hospital (1997), an engineering firm (2005), and two gas stations (2006). There are also plans underway to build a home lender/mortgage company and create more jobs within the community through various marketing initiatives such as special events and job fairs.

In 1795, they founded London's first coffee house, the Coffee House at Knightsbridge. 3) In 1811, British explorer John Mandeville discovered Java's Coffee Islands while mapping out Indonesia. He named these islands because they were very rich in cedar trees that yielded beans that were roasted well and tasted great. This discovery led to more people beginning to learn about this amazing crop and its potential for economic growth. 4) By 1830, entire countries were drinking coffee – including Great Britain, China, Peru, Greece and Rome! This popularity caused prices for beans to rise dramatically (and madecoffee an expensive luxury item). But this didn't stop people from trying new coffees merely because it was now available at various prices points all over the world! 5) By 1912–1913, Swiss manufacturer Frédéric Perrier introduced French-roasted Arabica beans into English-speaking markets through his company Cooper & Company Ltd.. At this time, English-speaking consumers could purchase Indian roast or Sumatra roast coffees direct from Indonesian producers…This shift gave birth to modern day roasting techniques like decaffeination which allows cafés throughout the world to deliver high quality beverages with less caffeine than ever before

In 1951, Forrest City became an incorporated municipality and began to develop into a thriving commercial center with its own schools and businesses. In recent years, however, downtown Forrest Cityhas been suffering from decline due to competition from larger cities within Pulaski County and elsewhere in Arkansas for development dollars and jobs. However, revitalization efforts are ongoing including the construction of new buildings in downtown Forrest Cityand plans for expansion eastward into Johnson County which would add another 9,000 residents over time
