The Maumelle Coast Guard Station was established on September 12, 1923. The station was originally located at the mouth of the Ouachita River. In 1944, the station moved to its present location on Arkansas' Gulf Coast.
Maumelle is a small town in Baxter County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,651 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Aberdeen, AR Metropolitan Statistical Area. Maumelle was named after Daniel Webster Maumelle. The first settlers in what would become Maumelle were farmers who started farming in 1839. In 1868, a Post office and store were built and the name changed to Maumelle in honor of Daniel Webster Maumelle (1822-1911). Mr.Maumallee became one of the most noted citizens of the community during his lifetime. In 1916, he donated land for a public library which was opened in 1924 by Governor Clarence Darrow. The library is still open today and provides reference materials for local residents as well as schoolchildren from nearby districts. During World War II, many men from Maumelle enlisted and served with distinction in various military campaigns throughout Europe and North Africa including the Battle of Normandy on June 6th 1944 under Lieutenant Colonel John Jourdain Jr.. After the war ended, many Quakers returned home to start businesses such as a grocery store and flower shop that remain active today. In 1957, First Baptist Church moved from its original location on Main Street to its present location near Third Street just west of Highway 9 which has allowed it to maintain its important role within the community ever since! Today’s First Baptist church property includes an auditorium/theater seating 375 people while their mainchurch building offers space for worship services across two levels with an additional level dedicated to classrooms/credit classes up to 350 students! One aspect that has not changed much over time is their passion for giving back to their community through volunteerism; they have contributed more than $40 million dollars towards local charities since 1981!

Maumelle, Arkansas is a small town located in Hutchinson County, Arkansas. The population was 1,373 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat and largest city of Hutchinson County. Maumelle was founded in 1877 by Frenchmen who arrived in what is now Arkansas as part of the Louisiana Purchase. In 1901, General James Longstreet established a military post here named Fort Smith and it served as an important center for military activity in southwestArkansas until World War II. In 1924, Maumelle became the first city in Hutchinson County when it was incorporated as a town. The population reached 2,000 by 1930 but declined to 1,373 by 2000. After Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans on August 29th, 2005 and destroyed most of that community's infrastructure including many homes and businesses (see below), Maumelle began to recover quickly from its damages but still has some challenges such as insufficient housing stock and low job prospects for young peopleparticularly after Katrina ruined so many things that had been built here over time- such as several high schools and churches which remain standing today despite their damage). On September 15th, 2018 United States Judgeosphinx J.D.(Lone Star) announced his intention not to retry George Zimmerman after acquittal on all counts following a six week trial which ended with a hung jury on July 13th
Maumelle was founded in 1859 by J.P. Morgan, who named it for the Maumelle River that flows through the town. By 1870, the town had a population of 350 people. In 1907, Maumelle became a city and was renamed for General James M. Maury, who died in 1902. The city has since grown to over 10,000 residents and is still an important center for local commerce and education
