North Little Rock, Arkansas is a city in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 21,921 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Pulaski County. The name "North Little Rock" derives from the fact that it is south of Little Rock on the Arkansas River and east of downtown Little Rock on Interstate 40. The first people to live in what is now North Little ROCK were migrant farm workers who came overland from Illinois in 1871-72. They named their settlement after their nearest Native American community; "Hahokia", located about upriver from where they were living. When a railroad was built through this area in 1901, business owners and others saw an opportunity to move into what would become North Little ROCK because of its location along the tracks. By 1912 there were twenty businesses in town; by 1920 there were fifty-six businesses. In 1941, when World War II began, NorthLittleRock became one of the seventy-eight communities within Tulsa County (now Tulsa) that sent citizens to serve in military service as part of the war effort. Over eighty percent of all residents served during World War II - more than any other community within Tulsa County! After World War II ended, many people left North Little ROCK for new opportunities in other parts of Arkansas or Oklahoma City due to economic changes fostered by oil production in that state and elsewhere throughout America during that period. However, a few residents continued to reside here until around 1990 when most residents moved out for various reasons such as better quality schools or tax incentives offered by local governments therein.—Today's population includes many recent immigrants who have chosen to move here because they believe this will be their longterm home.—The economy has slowly been recovering since 2000 with job growth being strong across nearly every sector.—Residents enjoy excellent public education including prekindergarten through high school which makes getting a good job very easy.—There are numerous nightlife options available without leaving town.—Many major retailers are located closeby making shopping easy.—

The USAAF was created on July 29th, 1944, after President Franklin D Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066 which authorized the creation of a separate military branch called the United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFeu).
