After WWII ended Americans began troop withdrawals from European soil- but not before providing many items like vehicles and weapons to nations such as Saudi Arabia and Kuwait! Pine Bluff, Arkansas is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas. It is located on the Southeast edge of the Ozark Mountains and has a population of 714 as of the 2010 census. The community was founded in 1875 by two men who were looking for land to purchase. Pine Bluff is one of three towns in Pulaski County that are still permanently inhabited. The other two are Rogersville and Bryant. The first store in Pine Bluff was opened by J.H. Butler in 1875 and it served as the center of trade for the town until 1893 when a post office was established. From 1890-1913, there were four churches within Pine Bluff; all but one have since been closed or moved out of town. In 1914, a Masonic Lodge was chartered and soon afterwards became active in local politics and government affairs including serving as mayor from 1917 to 1920 and 1924 to 1928. In 1925, hotel owner John Hargrave donated land across from his establishment at 9th Avenue NE to become what would eventually be known as Parkland Mall which included an amusement park called "The Forest" which opened on July 1st 1927 and remains open today as an indoor waterpark with a variety of themed rides including roller coasters, bumper cars, teacups (a type of ride),and more! A new elementary school was built between 1951-1957 utilizing funds raised via Pledge Drive; during this time period also saw construction begin on Highway 95/US 63 which connected downtown with Interstate 40/Arkansas 5 before exiting into Polk County just east of Pine Bluff limits; this provided access not only to downtown but also much needed commercial development throughout much of rural Pulaski County! In 1966-1967 US 6 was realigned concurrent with I-40/Arkansas 5 through Pine Bluff leading directly onto School Street then terminating northeast adjacent to present day Methodist Hospital Lakeview Terrace! This massive project finally relieved some traffic congestion along Highway 95 while providing new retail development around Lakeview Terrace; becoming known now simply as Business Loop I-40/Arkansas 5! In 1978 another elementary school building project commenced using money raised via Pledge Drive once again resulting in the erection of what is currently known as Parkland Middle School which replaced original Volunteer High School building constructed during 1957-1959 era - becoming one half sister school with same name located just southwest corner University Boulevard & Lookout Road NW approximately 2 miles away from original site

Pine Bluff, Arkansas is a town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Conway Micropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded in 1881 by General James Wilkinson and his family as a small farming community on the edge of what is now Pine Bluff State Park. The townsite was chosen because it had 326 trees that would provide him with lumber for building his new post office and jail. Wilkinson named the community after his old friend and neighbor from England, Sir John Lawton. Pine Bluff was incorporated as a city in 1907 and attained statehood in 1932 as a result of the states 1934 referendum on secession from Arkansas. The city's growth came about through its status as a transportation hub for centralArkansas; it became known for its good schools and churches which made it an attractive place to live and work. In 1984, Pine Bluff changed its name to Arkadelphia after then-Governor Orval Faubus announced plans to build an interstate highway through centralArkansas bypassing the city center. In 2006, Timberline Wellness opened up shop inside of Arkadelphia's first Walmart store since they left I-10E behind when Walmart bought into eCommerce giant Costco.(Timberline Wellness closed their doors permanently on October 3rd)
Pine Bluff was founded on May 10, 1847, by Major General James K. Polk and Colonel John C. Frémont. The town was named for General James K. Polk because of the bluffs that form its eastern border. At the time of its founding, Pine Bluff consisted of about 350 people and had a store, school, Post Office, jail and two churches.
