Arkansas is home to some of the most famous artisan coffee roasters in the world. The state has a rich history of coffee production, and its coffee beans have been used by some of the biggest names in the industry. Some of the first commercial roasters in Arkansas were J.B. Lippincott and Sons, which started up in 1901. In 1928, Donato Gianni opened his own roasting house, Gianni Coffee & Tea Company. The company was renamed Gianni Coffee Company Incorporated in 1978 after Donato's death. In 1972, Bob Evans began producing its own roast Blend blend called Bob Evans Coffee Roasters. The company continued to produce this blend until it merged with Peet's Coffee Corporation in 1993. since then, allocations within Peet's have been changing as different corporations shifted their focus or acquired other businesses within Peet’s empire (e.g., Dutch Bros.). The first artisan coffee shop was founded in Rogers in 1916 by David Brewster and his brother-in-law Wm Henson[1]. This shop was known as The State House Café and served fresh roasted coffee from local farmers on premises.[2] In 1942, Eben Swensen set up operations at what is now known as Cafe duMonde[3], serving French press coffees made from Arkansan beans that he roasted himself at his farmstead near Rogersville[4].Swensen relocated to California after World War II and continued to operate Cafe duMonde there until his death in 1984[5]. At this point Café duMonde ceased operation but preserved many of its archived beans for future use at their new café located adjacent to Fairfield University campus near downtown Rogersville.[6][7] In 1992, Dave Thomas reopened Café DuMonde following a renovation which included updated technology and an addition of espresso machines for direct service.[8] Today Café DuMonde remains one ofRogers' oldest continuously operating businesses with over forty years worth of experience!

Rogers is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas. The population was 1,829 at the 2000 census. Rogers is located about 21 miles (33 km) northeast of Little Rock and about 25 miles (40 km) northwest of Fayetteville. Rogers was founded in 1887 by John Rogers and his wife Anna. It was first called "The Cedars" because of the cedar trees that lined its streets. In 1893, the name was changed to "Rogers". The post office opened in 1903 and remained in operation until it closed in 1967. In 1907, Rogers had a schoolhouse, church, store, and garage. A Cooperative Union School District was organized in 1913, andRogers incorporated as a town on April 6 of that year. The first public meeting ever held in Rogers occurred on August 4 of that year when residents met to discuss forming a fire department. By 1919, the total population had grown to 2108 people and the town established an agricultural society with five acres (20 hectares) of land for raising crops and providing animal husbandry services to local farmers. On July 1st of that year, voters approved incorporation into Pulaski County but lost their re-election bid due to lack of support from county officials

One important proponent of this type of production was Brazilian farmer Antonio José de Moraes who set up his own roasting business called Nacional da Boca do Rio between 1828 and 1830 (Pritchard). These independent businesses allowed smallholders to produce high quality coffees at a lower cost while still providing essential products like food security (Heath). During World War II, many factories stopped producingcoffee because it was considered too vital for war efforts; however, smaller artisanal roasters continued operations until 1948 when industrial competition made artisanal roasting more difficult (Fowler). Since then there have been many changes taking place within the craft sector due largely to technological improvements (Goudreau) which has helped preserve traditional methodsologies while allowing new growers access to global marketsplaces(Pritchard). While some aspects of artisanal production continue unchanged today—such as hand-picking coffees from specific varieties or grinding them yourself—the larger picture is one where more people are involved directly within this field through online ordering platforms or direct trade relationships

It was named for General James Rogers who fought in the American Civil War and later served as governor of Arkansas. Rogers, Arkansas was founded on October 2, 1871 by John Rogers. The town was named for John Rogers' father, who had come to the area in 1849. By 1901, Rogers had developed a thriving agricultural economy with over 100 businesses in operation. In 1915, the town erected its first schoolhouse and began offering education to children from ages 6-18. In 1930, the population of Rogers reached 3,500 people; by 1940 it had increased to 10,000 residents.
