Russellville is a city in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 5,813 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fayetteville–arlington-Springdale Combined Statistical Area. The first coffee roaster in Russellville was the Coffee and Tea Company, which opened its doors in 1881. It would later be renamed to the National Coffee Company and then to Roasters Incorporated in 1978. In 2002, Roasters Incorporated merged with Green Mountain Coffee Corporation. Today's largest roaster in town is Peet's Coffee & Tea located on Main Street. Other popular options include Secondhand Coffee and Dutch Bros., both of which are located on Elm Street next to the Russellville Public Library.
Russellville, Arkansas is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas. The population was 1,826 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Hickory City, AR Metropolitan Statistical Area. Russellville has a dry climate which makes it an ideal place to grow tomatoes and other vegetables. The town was founded in 1868 by John Pemberton and named after General James Halleck Russell (1820-1896), who had been military governor of Missouri during the American Civil War. The first post office in Russellville was established in 1869. In 1902, the town became a city under the name of Russellville. In 1924, much of eastern Pulaski County were acquired by the Federal government for what would become known as the Arkansas Valley Project. At that time, most of the people living west of Interstate 30 lived in poverty because they could not afford to buy land or build homes on their properties. To help these people gain access to education and employment opportunities, within two years of its establishment as a city, Russellville had built over 20 schools including four high schools and six junior colleges; also organized into three community groups: churches/synagogues/temples; agricultural societies; sporting organizations/clubs; civic clubs; professional organizations/associations; trade unions (the first municipally owned company engaged in trucking). Russellville is located at 38°36′N 93°28′W / 38°36'N 93°28'W / -93°29'; its elevation is 554 feet (158 meters). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 3 square miles (8 km²), all land.

Russellville experienced some major development during World War II when many factories were built to produce munitions for the war effort and local residents became highly skilled in carpentry and other manufacturing tasks that led to increased economic activity and social integration. Post-war prosperity slowed during the early 21st century as energy production declined and tax revenue lessened; however, recent changes have brought new life to the town through initiatives such as downtown revitalization and infrastructure development including a new high school and health center complex.

It grew rapidly during the 1870s and 1880s, thanks to the arrival of railroads and other transportation improvements. By 1900, Russellville had a population of over 1,000 people. The town continued to grow during the late 1800s and early 1900s as new businesses were established and residents migrated to the area. By World War II, Russellville had reached its peak population size with more than 2,500 people living in the city limits. However, during the 1960s and 1970s, local economic conditions began to decline as oil prices fell and manufacturing jobs moved out of town. During the 1990s and 2000s, however, many businesses have been opened inRussellville again modestly increasing its population to around 350 people today including several high-tech companies that are locating in downtown Russellville.
