At this point, coffee began to be considered as a municipal currency within Arkansas society. In 1948, John Peet started his own business called Peet & Kapp Coffee Company in Russellville. This company became known for its exquisite roasts and innovative marketing techniques. It was during this time that Peet developed what would later become known as “gourmet coffee” – a term he coined himself. Today, gourmet coffee is prized worldwide for its quality and unique flavor profiles.

Russellville is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, located about 9 miles west of the city of Russellville. The population was 1,521 at the 2010 census. It was founded in 1876 by L.D. Russell and his family. In 1907, J.C. Hubbard purchased the land that now makes up part of Russellville from Mr. Russell and began to build a grocery store there which he called the "Hubbard Store." He also built a school and other buildings on what is now Main Street. In 1916, J.C.'s son-in-law Harry Wimsatt took over operations of the store and changed its name to "The Hubbs" Store after he inherited it from his father-in-law Harry Wimsatt Jr.. The store prospered until the late 1920s when it started to experience heavy competition from larger stores in nearby towns such as Rogers City and Decatur Junction. By 1930, "The Hubbs" had closed its doors for good after having failed to make money even with rising prices for goods imported from abroad while also losing customers due to changing tastes in food items among consumers living within commuting distance of larger stores during this time period In 1934, local businessman Sam Chambers bought the business from "The Hubbs" heirs and continued operation under his own name until 1986 when he sold it to Cecil Crouch who renamed it The Crouch Place Shopping Center which still operates today as a commercial center servingRussellville residents .
Russellville is a small town in Arkansas, located on the east side of the state. The population was 5,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of Pulaski County. US Route 66 runs through Russellville and crosses it twice, once north of the town and again south. The main highway in town is US-65 which connects Russellville to Little Rock to the west and Fayetteville to the east. The community was founded in 1881 by John Hargrave, who named it after his business partner and friend, Augustus Russell. In 1907, J. C. Glover purchased 100 acres (40 hectares) of land from Hargrave for $1,000 cash and developed it into a small city with a post office, grocery store, bank and two churches. By 1915 there were also five hotels within 2 miles (3 km) of where Russellville now stands - one on Main Street and four off US-65 - making it one of America's "底层" small towns during that period. In 1959, when Arkansas became an independent state, Russellville became its capital city with its own government as well as a new Police Department and Fire Department under one roof - something that hadn't happened in Arkansas since before Reconstruction! The following year saw wider growth with annexation by neighboring Pulaski County; currentlyRussellville has over 10 square miles (25 km2) enclosed within its borders In 1976 cell phone service arrived in town courtesy of BellSouth; today satellite TV can be found throughout most portions of rural Pulaski County thanks to Comcast/Xfinity . And just this past year negotiations are ongoing for Comcast/Xfinity to build an extensive distribution center adjacent to downtown that will bring even more economic development directly to residents . As of the census of 2000, there were 1,595 people, 553 households, and 367 families residing in the town. The population density was 508.9 people per square mile (227.5/km²). There were 657 housing units at an average density of 293.7 per square mile (122.3/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98% White; 0% African American; 0% Native American; and 2% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3%of the population
