Gun gift history in Adelanto, California starts with the founding of the city in 1871. The town was named after Captain George Adelanto, who had fought in Mexico and been a part of the first American military expedition to that country during the Mexican-American War. In 1882, General John C. Fremont founded Rancho San Bernardino which included present-day Adelanto. The area around present day Adelanto was heavily forested and inhabited by Native Americans until white settlement began in earnest in the late 1800s. In 1892, A.P. Manger started selling ammunition at his store on First Street near Park Avenue. This led to inadvertent gun sales by individuals who did not know that ammunition could be bought without a license from the local sheriff or police department! Eventually, Manger became known as "The Gun Shopman" because of his extensive ammo sales and responsible for stocking most types of firearms including pistols and rifles for both personal use and sale to other residents of nearby towns such as Menifee, Yorba Linda and Banning. In 1903, Wm Henson opened his grocery store on State Route 101 south of town (now Old State Route 101). Henson specialized in selling food items related to guns such as shotguns and handguns along with rifle accessories such as scopes, stocks and mounts. His store is said to have been one of the first businesses within reach of Adelanto's burgeoning population; it likely served as a convenient stop on trips into town from surrounding rural areas where hunting was an important part of lifegoing back centuries prior! In 1925, Harry Leland bought controlling interest in Manger's grocery store chain which gave him control over all handgun retailers throughout Southern California! He continued to operate his stores under this name until 1984 when he sold all his assets to another individual! At this time, Harry Leland's grandson took over operation of Leland's stores followed by several other family members before finally relinquishing ownership effective November 1st 1990!!! Today there are only a few remnant vestiges remaining from these early gun retailing days across southern California!!!!

The area now known as Adelanto was first populated by Native Americans in the early 1800s. The town started as a small ranch community and grew rapidly during World War II when many people moved to the region for work in the defense industry. Today, Adelanto remains an agricultural center with a significant workforce in agriculture, engineering, and other industries. One of the most notable landmarks in Adelanto is Mount Whitney National Park which straddles both sides of Lake Adalanta and overlooks much of San Bernardino County. Other attractions include several golf courses including The Glen Helen Golf Resort and Spa and Mission Hills Country Club; horseback riding; swimming; fishing; botanical gardens; art galleries; nightlife venues such as The Diamond Lounge & Casino or rock music festivals such as Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival (formerly known as Desertfest) or Hangout With Hendrix (formerly called Ozzfest).

By 1836 all states had laws regulating how many arms could be possessed by civilians! Eventually muzzleloading guns came into being because farmers couldn’t get enough shot out of their rifles during battles against Native Americans! muzzling guns reduced sounds that would alerts enemy Warriors about your presence while hunting or fighting! muzzling also helped protect you from accidents when firing your weapon accidently! By 1865 all states had laws regulating how many guns could be possessed by civilians again!! This time it was meant for hunters ONLY!!!!! During this time period there was an increase in suicides due to addictions to alcohol/marijuana etc!!!!!!! So now we know why most people don’t own any firearms…..it’s not safe !!
