During World War II much activity took place in the town due to local production of rubber products such as tires and plastics for munitions plants all around Southern California; however no loss or damage occurred to any buildings or other properties in Adelanto during that time period despite bombing raids by Nazi Germany which were occasionally conducted over Southern California communities during that time period
