The Navy deployed a gift to the Agoura Hills community in 1978. The gift was a USS Constitution Museum-themed cruise ship, which was donated by the Navy and operated by Sailors from the California National Guard. This paper will discuss some of the characteristics of navy deployments and what they provide to sailors on deployment. There are three types of naval deployments: operations, support, and training. Operations are military actions or missions that take place outside of the normal military budget and timeframe. Support is when soldiers, marines, or air forces help out a friendly country in their time of need by providing logistical support such as supplying troops with food and water, providing medical care, and even escort services for ships or submarines during transitory exercises or deployments. Training is where sailors receive physical education (PE) and other basic skills so they can join the military after high school or college graduation. Naval deployments also have a social dimension to them as well; troops stationed abroad often form relationships with their local counterparts while living in close proximity to each other during deployment. The USS Constitution was a United States Navy ship that served in the War of 1812. It was captured by Canadian forces on December 12, 1814, and interned at Pointe-à-Pitre prison before being sold to the British navy on March 15, 1815. On May 8, 1816, it was commissioned into the Royal Navy as HMS Constitution. The Constitution sailed from Liverpool, England in July 1817 and arrived at San Francisco Bay on September 7th. The ship took part in the Mexican–American War androle during the battle of Trafalgar on October 27th off Cape Trafalgar. After sailing back to England on November 5th she decommissioned at Portsmouth Naval Base on December 10th having served with distinction during her tour of duty in California.
Agoura Hills is a city in Los Angeles County, California. The population was 115,869 as of the 2010 census. Agoura Hills is part of the West Covina–Monrovia census-designated place. The name "Agoura" comes from the Ahwahnee Unified School District's Anza Borrego Desert Academy which was founded in 1926. In 1892, General John C. Fremont built his cavalry outpost at what is now Agoura Hills after surveyors found the area to be rich in gold and other minerals. The town began as a small farming community with about 25 residents and five stores before it became an agricultural center during World War II for production of aviation gasoline and other wartime products. After World War II, many businesses moved out of town as development increased around Interstate 5 and Highway 101 northwest of town. Development returned to the town following passage of Proposition 10 in 1984 which funded various infrastructure projects including new schools, roads and parks in the towns northeast border areas including Agoura Hills

In 1878, two separate incorporation petitions were filed for what would become Agoura Hills – one for those living near Westchester Avenue and one for those living near Eastridge Road. On July 24th of that year, both petitions were finally granted by Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors In 1902 when Hollywood began becoming a popular tourist destination it attracted movie stars such as Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Mary Pickford and other high-profile celebrities to its theaters which quickly became known as "the Hollywood Bowl". This success led to an increase in business in Downtown Hollywood so much so that by 1907 only about 60% of the business was done on Mulholland Drive where today's Regency Ballroom stands. As Hollywood grew more commercialized outside of Downtown LA it began driving down prices for goods available within DowntownLA which also had an inverse effect on demand for goods exported from DowntownLA (i.e., local housing prices decreased because imported materials (such as automobiles) became more expensive). This decrease in demand caused large layoffs throughout DowntownLA due not just to mass production but also imports flooding into LA from overseas at unprecedented levels giving rise to what has come be called "The Great Depression" period during which almost every adult was employed outside their home industry makingAgoura Hills one of first cities hit hardest by this economic recession A new wave of development started happening after World War II called "the 1960s", characterized by suburban sprawl across central L.A., increasing traffic congestion on freeways (particularly Ventura Boulevard), increased crime rates due largely to influxes of Mexican immigrants who inhabited newly developed areas near downtown LAS VEGAS Strip mall; few if any jobs or affordable housing developments occurred until more recently during slower economic times thanks largely theretofore unenforced rules against single family homes developing next door neighborhods Multiplex theater complex went up along I-15 Southgate Freeway
