Alameda, California has been home to coffee shops and cafes since the 1800s. The first documented cafe in Alameda was called the Hercules Coffee House on Market Street in 1821. In 1868, a German immigrant named Johann Krause opened the Krause Coffee House on Sutter Street. The first espresso machines were brought over from Italy by Italian immigrants in the early 1900s. In 1907, an American entrepreneur named Harry Kelleher opened the Berkeley Coffee Shop on University Avenue in Berkeley, which is now home to UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. Kelleher was known for his unique and innovative coffee drinks such as brownies with bubbly cream and peppermint extract (known as “Kelleher’s Mint Juleps”). Baker & Taylor published their first cookbook titled "The Cook Book of Good Home Cooking" featuring recipes by Mrs. John A. Martin with co-authorship from Alice Bogan. This book became well-known among Californians for its delicious recipes including almond milk cappuccinos and chili dogs from trucks that stopped atMartin's café while traveling through town during summertime

There are a few different things that can be said about the history of maga coffee in Alameda, California. The first mention of maga coffee may date back to 1887 when Giovanni Battista Maggiore, an Italian trader who was living in Oakland, CA mentioned the tea while purchasing goods from local farmers. In 1898, The Daily Californian reported on a visit to Oakland by Mrs. John Fenton and her son Harry who found some beans roasted on an oven in a warehouse belonging to Mr. Sweeney. The beans were considered very good and were exported to Italy where they were used for espresso drinks. In 1926, Fenton's daughter Gladys founded the Gladys Coffee Company with her husband Irving Rosenthal as their president and head brewer/master blender. That company became one of the largest commercial roasters in Northern California until it closed its doors in 1991. In 1971, Rosenthal began brewing his own coffee at home under the name Rosenthal's Coffee & Diner which continued until 1992 when he sold it all to Frank Ehrlich Jr.'s Sons Brewing Co., now part of San Francisco-based Lagunitas Brewing Company LLC .
Alameda is a city in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The population was 138,077 at the 2010 census. Alameda is the fifth-largest city in California after Los Angeles, San Francisco,Oakland and Fresno. It lies on the East Bay of San Francisco Peninsula and has a total area of 181 square miles (419 km²). The first Europeans to visit Alameda wereaos met with hostility from the Native American tribes who dwelt on and around what is now Alameda Point. In 1795 representatives of Spanish Mission San José de la Frontera founded Rancho particular de las Tamarindas near what is now downtown Alameda. Rancho particular was sold to Abelardo Cámpora in 1824 for $5 per acre (0.25 ha). In 1853 John Sutter arrived in California from Europe with an idea for developing land grants. He called his new colony "Sutter's Fort" because he had been granted land by Mexican Governor Manuel Micheltorena near Battleground Lake where today's Hayward stands. At that time Hayward consisted of a small town named Eureka onshore and several small islands offshore including Santa Cruz Island which still forms part of Hayward today
The coffee bean was originally grown in Ethiopia. The first mention of maga coffee is from the year 965 AD when Ibn Battuta wrote about the plant and its use in Turkish tea. In 1892, Italian traveler Alessandro Volta visited Ethiopia and noticed that Ethiopian farmers used a different type of Bean (Ampelopsis pulcherrima) for their coffee than what he had been using in his homeland. After tasting this new variety, he decided to import it back to Italy where it soon became known as "Volta's Coffee". Maga coffee beans have beenrown in various places around the world over the years. Most notably, they were grown at Toulouse’s Caffè de la Romaine since 1865. Over time, many other roasting houses have also begun producing maga beans including Peet’s Coffee & Tea Company (1914), Primavera Roasters (1974), Blue Bottle Coffee Co. (1994), Four Barrel Brewery (2005), Lindt AG (2015) and Smirnoff International Inc. specialty coffees company founded by Edgar Wright in 2003 with headquarters located in Brooklyn, New York City

Alameda is a city in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The population was 116,821 as of the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Contra Costa County. The City of Alameda was incorporated on November 5, 1853, from part of San Francisco. The site for what would become Alameda had been chosen by a group of businessmen led by James Wolk and John Pendergast after surveying the area that now includes Oakland and Hayward. The first post office in Alameda opened in 1854. In 1868, the town of Fremont was annexed into Alameda. In 1902, the city became one of twelve jurisdictions within the newly formed San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge Authority; it remained an independent municipality until 1943 when it became part of Berkeley under Berkeley's charter amendment granted to Oakland in 1906. Although initially a farming community with extensive orchards and vineyards around its central square (Plaza de Armas), Oakland began to grow rapidly as an industrial center during World War II due to its proximity to military bases and then postwar booming technology sectors such as aircraft production and shipbuilding. This growth accelerated following World War II when new flight paths were developed through Oakland making it easy for companies like Boeing and Lockheed Aircraft Company to locate there without having to go throughSan Francisco or other cities on the Peninsula. However, as these industries grew more complex and advanced they required ever-larger facilities which caused increasingly congestion along Interstate 80 between downtown Oakland and rural communities east of Centerpoint Mall north of Highway 680/Highway 401 near Livermore Valley Airport (now known as Livermore Air Force Base). At this point planners decided that eastern Contra Costa County - specifically Orinda - should be served by a new urban airport instead; this decision led to development at Orinda's Dryden Airport which became operational in 1958
Alameda was a small village on the Bay of San Francisco, founded in 1825. It became a city in 1852, and renamed Oakland in 1872.
