In 1922, the company relocated to its current location in Antioch, California. The Armstrongs continue to be a major force in the coffee industry, and their legacy continues to be respected today.
Antioch, California is a small town located in Kern County, California. As of the 2010 census, the population was 3,564. The name Antioch comes from the Spanish word "antioch" meaning "little city." In 1847, George Armstrong Custer and his regiment were camped at Antioch for five weeks before their march on Washoe Mountain. The first post office in Antioch was established on November 14, 1847. The present day Antioch courthouse was built in 1915 by Waddell Richardson and is one of only two remaining wooden buildings from that period in the United States. The other building is currently used as a community center. In 1865, General John Boggs' army invaded southern California and encountered Mexican forces at what is now downtown Antioch. The battle resulted in an estimated 1,500 Californians killed or captured including Custer and three of his officers: Brevet Major General James Shields (later Lieutenant Governor), Second Lieutenant George Armstrong Sheehan (future Mayor of Los Angeles) and First Lieutenant Edward Ayer (future U.S Representative). In 1863the fortifications around Antioch were increased with the erection of batteries called Fort Donelson and Battery Wagner near today's Main Street corner with Washington Avenue; these positions delayed Mexican attempts to cross the river into northern California until after American troops had withdrawn southward to fight against Reconstruction policies under President Abraham Lincoln

Antioch, California was founded by the Mexican American War hero and governor of California, Antonio B. Godoy on December 12, 1846. The town was located in the now-defunct San Joaquin Valley within today’s Sacramento County. The first white settler in Antioch was George Drake who arrived in 1848. He built a cabin on the site of what is now downtown Antioch. In 1850, another white settler named John Humes moved to Antioch from Illinois and started a farm near Trinity Lake. In 1853, two brothers named Hiram and William Folsom founded the City of Angels Brewery in downtown Antioch. They were the co-founders with their father Samuel Folsom Jr., who had also come to America from England as a child. The brewery still stands today and produces award-winning beer such as Anchor Steam, Old World Blonde Ale, Christmas Porter and Larkspur IPA
