Another popular attraction is Sutter's Mill which can be reached by driving northwest on Highway 101 until it meets Highway 12 where it turns north again before reaching Sutter's Mill again; this location has been visited by more people than any other spot in Northern California.

Antioch, California is a small town located in the eastern Mojave Desert of Southern California. The population was 1,914 at the 2010 census. Antioch is one of the most ethnically diverse and religiously diverse communities in the United States, with a wide variety of religious beliefs represented. The history of Antioch dates back to 1835 when it was part of Mexico City and named Ciudad de México (City of Mexico). In 1848, the United States acquired Rancho Antelope near what is now Antioch. The rancho was eventually divided among various individuals and families including John Czarnecki and his son George Czarnecki. The first post office for Antioch opened in 1865. In 1909, Mayor Harry Haggerty founded the first fire department in city limits which served as an early warning system for residents during Valley Fever epidemics that had started spreading across Southern California around this time. In 1920, Antioch became an incorporated municipality with voting rights. A new elementary school called Homer Elementary opened on October 12th, 1921 in downtown Antioch with grades K-6th grade. It would be replaced by Diablo Middle School in 1974; however, it still remains a popular school choice for students today due to its location close to shopping malls and other businesses. In 1984–1985 public works projects were initiated in downtown Antioch which included widening sidewalks and streetlights throughout the downtown area as well as installation of new storm drainage systems; these projects helped improve pedestrian safety while also increasing business opportunities within Downtown Antioch. On July 15th, 1988 Typhoon Rita hit Northern California causing widespread damage and loss of life; however, no significant injury or damage occurred within Greater Antioch until after Rita ended approximately two hours later when strong winds knocked over power lines all along Interstate 5 from Angelenos living eastward into Anaheim County vernacular language refers to typhoons as "floods." This terminology continued into 1992 when Hurricane Joan made landfall near Santa Ana Island after making landfall between Anaheim Hills and Irvine Beach on September 8th/9th; however there were no significant injuries or damage taking place within Greater Angeles until after Joan dissipated about 48 hours later following its passage through Orange County Vernacular language refers to hurricanes as "orties." This terminology continued into 1995 when Hurricane Alberto made landfall near San Diego shortly before midnight PDT on October 16th/17th; unfortunately there were no significant injuries or damage taking place within Greater Los Angeles until after Alberto dissipated less than 24 hours later following its passage through Ventura County Vernacular language refers to hurricanes as "typhoons". These terms effectively continue today due to their brevity - only major storms are specifically referred to herein
In 1881, a group of people from Antioch, California started the First Methodist Episcopal Church in Antioch. The first pastor was Rev. John A. Dickey and the church served the community for over 50 years until it closed in 1964.
