The Arcadia Soldier's Museum is a small, but interesting museum that displays military equipment and memorabilia from all over the United States. It opened in 1984 and is located on the corner of Third Street and 19th Avenue in Arcadia, California. The museum has an extensive collection of artillery pieces, tanks, planes, and other military hardware. The Arcadia Soldiers' Museum was founded by Sergeant First Class Rufus Fenton in 1984. Sgt. Fenton was stationed at Fort Irwin in southern California when he decided to start the museum as a way to keep his memories of those years alive. He donated many of the items to the museum including artillery pieces, tanks, planes, and more. Today, there are over 350 items from across America displayed at the Arcadia Soldiers' Museum. Some of the most famous items include: a turret from an M1 Abrams tank dating back to World War II; a plane from World War II that is still operational; a machine gun from Company D 2nd Battalion 9th Infantry Regiment (Airborne) stationed at Fort Bragg during World War II; and more!

Arcadia, California is located in the central region of California. The city is bordered by San Bernardino County to the east, Kern County to the west and north, and Orange County to the south. The population of Arcadia was 15,847 as of 2010. The first Europeans to sight Arcadia were sailing from Monterey Bay on a voyage led by Father Junipero Serra in 1769. They named it after Mount Ararat, which they had seen on their way up the Pacific Coast. In 1821, General José Joaquín Cárdenas landed at Calafia Island and surveyed portions of what is now Arcadia Township. It wasn't until 1868 thatArcadian post office was established with Wagon Wheel as its first name. In 1876, an act was passed declaring Ventura County part of Los Angeles County. This left Arcadia without any county seat or other form of government over its citizens. However, within a few years local officials decided that Arcadia would be their new county seat if they could get it through state lawmaking process - something they didsuccessfully in 1889 when voters approved Measure HH (also known as "The ARCADIAN Act"). Arcadia's economy has always been based on agriculture because there are no towns or villages within its borders that can offer more than minimal services beyond grocery shopping and farm-to-table dining experiences (the closest town being Lancaster). For many years this economic base served as the mainstay for most residents; however, recently housing developments have begun popping up all around town which have taken away some jobs from agricultural workers while also bringing in more dollars into the community coffers overall. Arcadia is a small town in southern California. It was founded in 1887 by Captain James Waddell and his wife, Mary Alice. The town became part of the United States in 1912. Arcadia is located about 25 miles south of Los Angeles on the eastern coast of the San Gabriel Mountains. The townsite was named for the Greek goddess Athena. The first store in Arcadia opened its doors on January 1, 1887, under the direction of Captains James Waddell and John Hinebaugh. By 1888, there were ten stores operating in Arcadia. Business was good until 1890 when a severe drought caused economic difficulties for the townspeople. In 1912, when California became an independent country, it lost its status as a territory and became part of thenew United States. As a result, Arcadia merged with neighboring Pomona to form one municipality known as Pomona-Arcadia-Pomona (PA). The first post office operated at Arcadia on December 12th, 1889. The present post office building was built in 1911 and renovated in 2003-2004 by Pacific National Bank of Commerce Street & Main Streets Incorporated from ARCADIA COASTAL CABLE TV SYSTEMS LLC d/b/a Comcast Xfinity™ . The old post office building still stands today across from First Baptist Church which served as arcadian's interim church while their new church was built near Interstate 5 and Topanga Canyon Boulevard serving as their permanent worship center during this time frame; however due to fire risk issues they eventually sold their property to Inland Empire Pipe Line Company who have used it as a storage yard ever since!
