Arcadia, California is a small town located in the San Joaquin Valley of California. The population was 2,605 at the 2010 census. It lies about thirty-six miles east of Fresno on Interstate 5 and it is bordered by Stockton to the south, Modesto to the west, and Merced County to the north. The name " Arcadia" comes from two Spanish words: "arca" meaning 'tower' and "dia" meaning 'time'. There are several old tower homes in Arcadia that still stand today. These include the Tower House (1886), Tower Hill (1905), and Towers Towers (1921). The first post office in Arcadia was established in 1853. A few years after its establishment, Arcadia began trading with China as part of what is now known as Point Reyes Station. This trade led to some early development including building of a stockade around 1858 which is still standing today. In 1872,Arcadia became an incorporated city under state law following passage of a bill by then-Governor John Dye. At this time, it had a population of only 1,000 people. In 1916-17 when voters approved Measure I annexed part of nearby Modesto into city limits - making continuous growth possible - Arcadia's population topped 10,000 for the first time ever! In 1984-85 when voters approved Measure II annexing parts of Stockton into city limits - again keeping continuous growth possible -the population reached 24,500! Arcadian residents have been steadily increasing their ranks within our community since then; becoming more active in government and other aspects of civic life both inside and outside our Municipal walls... Today there are almost 200 full-time citizens employed within City Hall services...and we continue to grow!

The soldier took it home with him and started to think about how to get hold of it. He finally decided on getting help from one of his buddies on leave who lived in Arcadia. When his buddy got back, he told him about the golden egg and asked if he could take it home with him. His buddy agreed and they set out to find someone who could help them get hold of it before anyone else did! They eventually found someone who was able to help them but warned them not to tell anyone else because they might get in trouble! The soldier eventually gave the egg back to its rightful owner – his buddy – when he left for good!
