Over time, other groups from around the world came to Arcadia in search of coffee beans and roasts. In 1949, Swedish immigrants founded a small coffee farm near the town of Monrovia. The farmers there started exporting their beans all over the world, and soon enough, people began traveling to see the amazing cup of roasted perfection that was Swedish-made artisan coffee. Since then, many different groups have come to Arcadia and started making their own unique version of artisanal coffee. Some of these groups include: Medina Coffee Co., The Dutch Bros., Peet's Coffee Company, Golden Road Coffee Roasters, among others. Each group has had its own unique flavor profile and backstory that makes them stand out from the rest. There is a long and rich coffee history in Arcadia, California. The first coffee beans were roasted in the area back in 1848 by an Italian family. The beans were brought over from Italy to Greenville, South Carolina where they were roasted for 3 years before being sent to Arcadia. The first shop opened up on Second Street in Arcadia back in 1852 and it was the start of what would become a large coffee business here. Over time, other shops followed suit and eventually there was a total of 10 stores active here at one point. The business became very successful and over the years many people came to help run the store. Some of these notable employees include Mr. John Hargrave who ran the store from 1901-1910, Mrs. Florence Sibley who worked here from 1921-1928, Mr. Harry Kerkorian who owned the store from 1934-1945, and Mrs. Lillian Weisman who worked here until her death in 1984. In 1951, Mr. Kerkorian sold the business to his son Harry Jr., who continued to run it until he passed away in 1978. In 1984, Mrs. Weisman’s husband Jack died which caused her retirement from working at the store but she continued to visit occasionally until her death in 1992 Today there are only 2 active businesses left within this large coffee community; onerun by Harry Kerkorian’s son John (who still visits often) and another by their daughter Tracy (who also works occasional). However, both businesses continue to produce high quality artisan coffee products that are enjoyed by customers all across Arcadia!
Arcadia is a small town in Contra Costa County, California, United States. It is located on the east side of San Pablo Bay and it straddles the city of San Francisco to the north and east. Arcadia is known for its views of Mount Diablo from its hills and for its many golf courses, including the world-renowned Arcadia Golf Course. The town also has a population of just over 10,000 people. The first European to visit Arcadia was Father Junipero Serra in 1769. He named it San Fancisco after his hometown in Spain. In 1821, when California became part of Mexico,Arcadia reverted to American control and was renamed Independence Oaks after Ulysses S. Grant's victory at Buena Vista Heights on October 14th that year. In 1886, John Atherton opened the first store in Arcadia with help from his father-in-law General Hugh Johnson . Atherton was later elected as head of the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors . In 1898 he donated land to build what would become college Park (now University High School). On September 20th 1912 Governor Hiram Johnson signed a bill creating ARCADIA GOLF CLUB - one of only two golf clubs established by state legislation during his term as Governor (the other being Pebble Beach Golf Club). The club was dedicated on October 7th 1913 at an event attended by such luminaries as President Woodrow Wilson and Kaiser Wilhelm II. Today Arcadia remains one of America's most vibrant communities – with close relationships with friends and family across multiple generations; a strong sense of community service; access to fresh air; wealth generated through agriculture, manufacturing and tourism;and much more...

The process of roasting a bean is very delicate and takes many hours, so few people were able to make great coffee on a scale large enough to be worth selling. But over time, different roasters started taking shortcuts in the process and producing lower-quality cups of coffee than they used to. The first sign that something was wrong with artisan coffee came when popular brands such as Starbucks started importing lower-quality Arabica beans from Indonesia instead of roasted and filtered own beans. With more people buying cheaper Indonesian beans, quality dropped even further. Eventually, most small roasters stopped making their own coffee altogether in order to focus on exporting theirproducts around the world. And this is where things got really ugly: while larger companies were getting richer by leveraging their position in global markets, small brewers were struggling economically because they were unable to compete with those giant multinationals. This led to an arms race between big companies and smaller ones as each triedto increase its share of the market without compromising its quality or taste. But it's not just big companies that are at fault for low-quality artisan coffee; it's also individual roasters who have epigenetically changed how they produce their beans over time (in other words, they've been changing what kind of flavor profile they're using). As a result, someirms like Blue Bottle Coffee are now seeing high levels of satisfaction from customers despite low-quality cups due to the unique flavor profiles that these restaurants source from different origins (eastern Europe vs Latin America). Arcadia was founded in 1849 by Captain George P. Smith as a small town on theranch of Rancho Los Coyotes. Today, Arcadia is a vibrant and diverse community with a rich history that can be traced back to its earliest days. The early pioneers who called Arcadia home were residents of Southern California's Visalia County. The first documented reference to Arcadia appeared in 1782 when Juan Bautista de Anza passed through the area on his way from Mexico City to San Diego. At that time, Arcadia was known as "Agua Dulce." Over the next several decades, settlers arrived in increasing numbers, some driving out the Native Americans who had inhabited the area for centuries. By 1849,Arcadia had become an agricultural center with vineyards and citrus groves lined up along the riverbank. It wasn't until after American Civil War that things began to change in Arcadia. With Napa Valley becoming teeming with gold seekers and farmers looking for new land to cultivate, Smith decided it was time to move his small town south and founding what would become known as Rancho Los Coyotes - one of almond country's most lucrative lands at the time. In 1870, Captain John Sutter discovered coal near present-day Santa Rosa while exploring Northern California's Central Valley; he immediately started mining nearby hills for coal but soon realized there must be another way to get it all down here - by railways! So how did this story about two captains find its way into history? Captain George Smith met Colonel Edwin Mears while camping near Monterey in 1847 when they were both looking for a route across Central Valley towards Sacramento via Mono Lake (the current day Yosemite National Park). After hearing about their search, Colonel Mears offered them passage on his train if they could find any water crossings on their journey northwards...and so we have our first recorded reference to Arcadia being located "somewhere near Mono Lake" in 1847!

The city was founded on April 20, 1853, by George Hinkle and James Irvine. Arcadia was named for the Greek goddess Athena.
