One such veteran was Hiram "Hap" Arnold, who had served in both the Mexican-American War and World War I. Arnolds contributions to the Arcadia community are unsurpassed. He was an ardent advocate for military service and helped establish a number of charitable organizations within our community. Some of these organizations continue to operate today, such as The Haps Arnold Foundation, which provides support to soldiers through educational programs and fundraising initiatives. Additionally, Arnold donated his time and resources to numerous civic projects within theArcadia area. For example, he spearheaded efforts to build a new school in Arcadia and donate land for it; he also contributed money towards improving infrastructure within our city. In addition to his philanthropy, Arnold was also an accomplished musician. He played guitar professionally from at least 1916 until his death in 1951 (he had already passed away when this paper was written). His resume includes releases on multiple labels including Brunswick Records and Paramount Records. While his music career ended prematurely due to natural causes, his legacy remains significant both inside and outside of Arcadia – thank you Hap!
