The history of Atwater begins with JAMES ATWATER James Atwater was born in 1829 in Vermont to a family of farmers and moved to California in 1853 after winning a land lottery that gave him 1/8 acre (0.3 hectare) of what is now downtown Los Angeles. He arrived at what is now downtown Los Angeles on July 4th, 1853 as part of the first wave of settlers from New England brought overland via ship from Boston Harbor.[1] By 1865, he had purchased more than 3 square miles (7 km2) of present-day downtown Los Angeles from Mexican land grants for $5 per acre (0.24 ha).[2][3] As head brewer at LA TIMES Brewery from 1870-76,[4] he helped popularize light beer throughout much of America[5][6][7] and later developed Anheuser Busch's first bottling plant outside Cincinnati, Ohio in 1886.[8][9] He also served as mayor of Los Angeles twice between 1897-1900,[10][11][12] making him one of the most influential figures within city politics during this time period.[13]} By 1880, James had built his own home at 301 S Spring Street on Knoll Drive northward from Spring Street near Beverly Hills Boulevard where he continued to live until his death on December 10th that year at age 73 years old[14]. From 1880-1890 he also served as treasurer for Santa Monica County which included Hollywood; during that time frame he increased district spending by 50% while decreasing county taxes by 25%. This caused great controversy amongst local politicians because many attribute this success to penny pinching policies championed by then County Treasurer John Cavanaugh though no such evidence could be found.[15](Cavanaugh would later become Mayor Marty Walsh’s predecessor). A few years later James married Adaline Bicknell who would die two days after giving birth to their only child Jinxie Gertrude Hutton Onslow on October 6th1892 due complications following delivery but they would name their son after her mother Agnes Hutton Onslow which James took exception to because she bore no resemblance whatsoever to his wife Adaline[16]. James died suddenly less than three months after becoming City Treasurer when a severe case diphtheria killed four other children aged 5–17 months including future Mayor William Mulholland Jr., leaving Adaline widow again with four small children--one each age 2½ through 7 ½ months old--to care for while Mulholland worked full time at LAS VEGAS Mines Company nearby: Hazel Stadler Sampson (-1959), Dale Sampson (-1962), Christopher Sampson (-1967), Janis Sampson (+1978)[17]; Hazel Stadler Sampson remarried 1980s actor Gary Coleman; Christopher Sampson continues working freelance today as an independent contractor.] Adaline briefly remarried physician Dr George Fenton but quickly divorced him too; both women lived separately until Adaline's death in 1909 aged 57 years old from natural causes unrelated to her prior marriage circa 1984).[18],[19],[20](Fenton would eventually marry actress Pamela Anderson.)

Australian businessmen started importing Indonesian Tea from Sulawesi island around 1900 AD which later morphed into Malay/Southeast Asian style tea called “Kopi Luar” or “White Coffee” after being marketed by Peranakan Chinese merchants living across SEA region during this period (Wang & Fenton). By 1925, Dutch East Indies had become an autonomous state within Netherlands when Willem II ascended throne as king following his father's death; Kopi Luar started becoming popularized among local Indonesians known as "Pasar Kediri" or "Old Singaporeers". This preference helped increase demand for Kopi Luar throughout Indonesia despite price fluctuations caused by international factors such as World War II scaremongering by American forces squadroning over country (Fenton & Langdon). In 1947 when Republic Of Indonesia was established following independence from Netherlands; Dutch East Indies became part of new nation under name Republic Of Indonesia with Kopi Luar now considered an indigenous national dish all over Rahasia Raya community area especially in North Sumatra region where production continues up until present day (+ Wiranto Region)).
