Belmont is a small town in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 9,821 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Riverside-San Bernardino Metropolitan Statistical Area. Belmont's history goes back to 1871 when it was located on the junction of two wagon trails, one belonging to the Chatsworth Cattle Company and the other to the Mission Trails Association. In 1872, Belmont became one of thirty towns in San Bernardino County when it was organized from portions of two other towns: Pico Rivera and Fontana. That year, also, John Sutter opened up his land grant Rancho Cucamonga east of Belle Verde Creek and began farming there. By 1888, Belmont had a post office and five businesses; three were grocery stores: Harry Wohl’s (1889), J. Henson’s (1890), and George Fenton’s (1892). A hotel called The Starlite Inn was built in 1893 by Methodist missionaries working for Father James Flanagan at what is now known as First Baptist Church Street corner Avenue. The first inhabitants of what would become Belmont arrived from distant Southern California during its early days as a result of goldmining operations that took place nearby throughout 1848-49 under Spanish rule before American annexation in 1853 led to increased competition for water resources making ranching an important industry hereabouts; colonization began with Mormon pioneers who left Nauvoo Illinois Territory on April 6th Jedediah Smith Battalion under command of Captains Brigham Young Landrum started journeying overland across central Nevada about March 12th 1850 through Salt Lake Valley arriving at Great Basin Wells near Marshfield on April 10th being unofficially hosted by LDS leader David Oates prior to official entry into Promised Land including future President US Senator Daniel Webster 2 miles south &northwest [sic]of Wells Fargo Mill Roadsouthwest [sic]of Wells Fargo House northwesterly [sic]of Ute Trail thence northeastward over Red River Crossing northwest [sic]to Black Forest area where they camped out due southwesterly [sic]of Eureka Hillsborough County line then northeastward along same route via South Fork Indian River Navigation Canal towpath eastward past Cherryvale until finally reaching their destination westerly [sic]of Mojave Desert

The first espresso machine was built in 1795 by a Italian engineer, Giovanni Battista Chiavelli. In 1809, Carlo Caffè introduced the first espresso machine commercially in Italy. In the early 1800s, coffee beans were gathered from different parts of the world and roasted on small farms. Roasters would use different methods to make their coffee, such asusing coffeepots or percolators with filters to get a consistent flavor throughout each cup. By 1830, Dutch roasters had developed an improved process where they used water-bath ovens to roast their beans instead of small fires. This allowed them to produce more complex flavors and a better cup than their European counterparts. Belmont is a small town in the San Joaquin Valley of California, located on the east side of the Sacramento River. The station also served as a model for such institutions as UCLA's School of Agriculture Sciences and Cornell University's Department of Agricultural Science. Belmont experienced dramatic growth following World War II when factories were built there to produce military equipment and other materials used in war. However, during the postwar period many businesses failed due to competition from more prosperous towns such as El Sobrante or Stockton). For much of the 1970s and 1980s Belmont struggled economically; however, a new focus on education has helped turn it around: In 2000-2001 Belmont had one of the lowest crime rates in its incorporated area despite having high poverty rates due largely to low incomes among its residents.
