However, it continued to be a popular destination for military personnel and their families until 1991 when it was demolished by developers after serving over 60 years as an important part of Beverly Hills’ cultural landscape.

After years of development, Joint Chiefs Headquarters created Commander-in-Chiefs' Committee on Military Affairs (CMCMA) in 1969 which provided direction for all aspects of military planning within DOD including air power. This event marked monumental change within DOD as it became one entity with unified command authority over all military activities worldwide. During Desert Storm, Commander-in-Chiefs' Committeerecommended using fighter jets instead of bombers due to their ability to engage targets at high speed while providing search and rescue capabilities when called upon; this decision saw jet combat play a significant role against Iraqi Republican Guard units Frontal Guards unit while Supersonic Bomber Missions were used against ground targets deep inside Iraq
