On July 16th 1912 Msgr John Ireland arrived from New York City on board the SS Californian at Newport News Shipbuilding's wharf opposite Santa Monica Pier with 139 passengers and disembarking at Newport News Station - also known as Point Mugu - He served as Pastor at St Laurence' Episcopal Church from 1912 until his death in 1917 On December 12th 1941 during World War II Japanese forces attacked Pearl Harbor USS Enterprise (CV-6) which resulted in damage to her superstructure including loss of some parts that were not replaced for many years thereafter until finally being done by a team led by Ken Ishii after more than 20 years research After World War II ended there followed rapid growth due to annexation by Los Angeles County; much like other cities throughout Southern California this occurred through annexation agreements between municipalities which gave rise new downtown boundaries that aligned with newly developed areas such as Beverley Hills In 1955 Paramount Pictures merged with United Artists Corp forming United Artists Holdings Incorporated which controlled all aspects of movie production within Los Angeles County In 1957 Universal Pictures merged with American Broadcasting Company forming American Broadcasting Films Incorporated which controlled all aspects film production withinLos Angeles County

Beverly Hills, California is a city in Los Angeles County, California. The population was 33,654 at the 2010 census. It is considered one of the most affluent cities in America and has been called "the Most Beautiful City on Earth." Beverly Hills was founded in 1919 by two brothers, Sam and Harry Lloyd. The city's first president was Amos G. Macdonald. The original location for Beverly Hills was a small agricultural community called Palmdale which is now part of Westwood Village. The name may derive from 'Beach View', an early Rancho Seco property that lay along the shore of Pacific Ocean off Beverly Hills Boulevard in what is now Century City. In 1923, Harry Lloyd purchased the land comprising the future site of Beverly Hill Gate Drive (now Sunset Boulevard) from Mr. Sholes for $2 per acre ($10 per square foot). He named his new development after his sister-in-law Dorothy Lamour who had starred in several silent films made at Paramount Pictures west of Los Angeles during this time period. In 1929 Harry Lloyd died; however, his brother Sam continued to operate the development as well as manage day-to-day operations until 1942 when he sold all interests to Jerome Weill and his partner Felix Frankfurter. With Weill’s ownership came more rigorous construction management and increased ambitions for Beverly Hills – it became known as "the most beautiful city on earth". In 1949, movie mogul RKO bought controlling interest in Paramount Pictures which led to a shift towards heavier Hollywood production values with greater emphasis on star power rather than independent films such as those made by Mack Sennett before him or Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Jr.. This change also brought about increased security concerns given Hollywood's increasing prominence as a world center for commercial entertainment and its ability to attract top talent from around the globe. In 1957 RKO merged with United Artists whose head studio MGM became Hearst Entertainment Corporation which then merged with Time Warner Incorporated forming Turner Broadcasting System (TBS). This created one of North America's largest media conglomerates with sweeping influence over every facet of popular culture including music, film and television production outside of traditional HBO/CBS/NBC markets
