The history of artisan coffee in Burlingame, California dates back to the early 1900s. A group of Russian immigrants began growing coffee beans in their farmstead on Park Street in 1892. The first cup of café au lait that anyone in the town could enjoy was brewed by these pioneers and friends of theirs. They names their coffee company, Park Street Coffee Company, after their street location. In 1928, Swiss immigrant Emmett Harkin opened his own shop on Montgomery Street in Burlingame. This shop served as a prototype for many of the later java-based cafes that would be established throughout Northern California during the 1930s and 1940s. Harkin's coffee beans were hand-picked and roasted by his own team of roasters and experts at his store. His beans became well known within the community for their unique flavor profile and attractive pricing proposition. In 1951, Don Freeman opened the first drive-through window at local fast food restaurant Burger King in nearby San Leandro. This innovative concept allowed customers to purchase items from the restaurant directly without having to go inside or wait in line! TheBurger King drive-through windows continue to serve as a popular tourist attraction today! By 1976, entrepreneur John Sennett had started up what is now called Santa Clara County Coffee Roasters (SCCR) in Emeryville, CA. SCCR was founded with a vision to bring quality artisan coffee products to consumers located throughout Silicon Valley including Burlingame and other communities near San Francisco Bay Area cities like Berkeley and Oakland. However, in 1990, Donny reopened his business as a small-scale roaster/café with a seating capacity of only sixteen people. Since 1990, Donny's Coffee House has been home to several different incarnations including Donny & Sons Coffeehouse (1996-2003), DONNY'S CAFE & ROASTERS (2004-present), and DONNY'S COFFEEHOUSE (since 2019).
Burlingame is a town in San Mateo County, California. The population was 12,823 at the 2010 census. It is located on the Pacific Coast Highway between San Francisco andOakland. It is named after Brigadier General Edmund P. Buylingame (1814-1893), who served as military governor of California during the Gold Rush era and later became an American congressman from that state. Burlingame was first settled by Europeans in 1849. The town site was choice because it had good water access, lying on a natural harbor with plenty of sheltered docks for ships to berth, and being close to the sea made it a popular port for goods arriving from Europe and Asia. In 1870, Captain John Sutter founded the City of Oakland, which soon outgrew Burlingame. In 1906, when Bay Area Rapid Transit opened its system through downtown Oakland torescent cities east of Interstate 80 (then called Route 7), Burlingame joined BART as one of its original stations. Prior to BART's opening, burlingames residents traveled by bus or train to Oakland or other nearby towns; today many residents also walk or bicycle to work or groceries. The growth of industry in the 1990s and 2000s has led to increased traffic congestion around downtown; however, efforts are underway to improve transportation options within and outside of the city center including expanding BART service into Antioch and Pittsburg/Bayfront areas

Some of the earliest examples of artisan coffee can be found in Africa where small families would roast their own beans. In Indonesia, kopi pahit (coffee with cream) was often prepared by women who would mix ground rice and milk until it achieved a thick consistency. As time passed, other countries began to adopt similar methods and systems, leading to the birth of artisanal coffee culture throughout the world. The first indication that someone was interested in producing Artisan Coffee was when they started cooking with it instead of drinking it straight from the bean. This started out as a way for people within small villages or towns to affordably purchase their own roasted beans while still providing quality product at an affordable price point. Over time this became more common as people realized that hand-roasted coffees were better than machine-roasted coffees on many levels: flavor profile, texture, aroma etcetera). As more people began enjoying hand-rolled espresso drinks (known formally as cortados), they also began looking for ways to provide this same level of detail and extravagance when consuming their own processed beans too - which is how we got our first taste of artisanal coffees! In terms of formulating your own recipes using only fresh roasted beans - there are few limits whatsoever! Burlingame, California is a city in northern San Francisco County, California, United States. The population was 382 at the 2010 census. It is located on the former Rancho Burlingame land grant given to John C. Fremont by Spain in 1846. The name of the town comes from Spanish meaning "the place where bracken flourishes." The first Europeans to visit what is now Burlingame were Juan Bautista de Anza and his party in 1776. They named it San Lorenzo because they found laurel trees thereabouts. A mission founded by Franciscans in 1821 called Mission Santa Clara de Asís also served as a stopping point for missions traveling down the San Joaquin Valley from Stockton and Sacramento. In 1846, when businessman George Wickersham acquired Rancho Burlingame from his father-in-law Juan Bautista de Anza, he named it after himself, Arthur Burrman (1812–1887), who had bought property east of Yerba Buena Cove near modern day Oakland and subdivided it into lots for sale beginning in 1845. One of Wickersham's early investors was banker Nicholas Longacre (1796–1872). In 1850, Wickersham sold some of his holdings to James Hutton Ford (1815–1886) who built him a house on Quadra Street adjacent to Painted Ladies Way and leased some acres back to the military for use as an artillery range during World War II. In 1907, Charles Quintana opened Quintana's Dairy which later became one of Northern California's most well-known grocery stores chain with over 100 locations across North America including stores in Berkeley and Emeryville before its acquisition by Kroger Corporation in 2006. In 1916 burlesque comedian “Peggy” Greene played her last show at the Cow Palace before moving to New York City; this show marked the end of an era for burlesque comedy hereabouts since many other comedians followed her into exile following World War I like Joe McCarthy (1914–1996) or Bob Hope (1915–2007). However Daly Automotive Museum has continued exhibiting classic cars related to burlesque performance up until today! A post office operated at Burlingame from 1853 until 1870; it was moved two miles south to Redwood City in 1870; then back north again until 1906 when it was renamed Rohnert Park Post Office after Captain George Hahn Rohnert Sr., captain general and commander of US marines forces stationed at Camp Pendleton on Novato Bay near Petaluma during Mexican American War days 1st Battalion 5th Marines under Major General Edward Terry.. On November 3rd 1865 Californian terrorist planter Jedediah Smith killed 7 people & wounded 25 others including General Manuel Miranda at Fontana while driving out onto Diablo Range Road leading from Big Trees National Monument opposite Benicia about 12 miles northeast of present day downtown Monterey County CA
