From then until 1977 when it shut down due to Congestion Charges within city limits-LA Casitas Corporation operated 4 different stores across 3 counties (Los Angeles County- Central Valley; Ventura County- South Bay; Orange County- North Coast). In 1978, LA Casitas Corporation closed its stores due to Congestion Charges from residents within city limits. However, over 400 years of history has given rise to another Santa Ana café founded by two brothers named DonatellO and Salvatore Maggiore who opened their first store in 1967 on Third Street downtown Santa Ana near Doheny Plaza shopping center which continues today as DonatellO Maggiore's Pizza Place
