The first evidence of coffee roasting is from 1795 when a Dutchman named Hendrick Van den Bergh reported finding pieces of Java Cherry tree bark in the area. The first recorded espresso was made in 1915 by Giovanni Battista Carafa at his cafe, "La Bottega delle Donne". In 1924, Angelo Polizi opened the first Italian restaurant in Campbell, serving coffee and pastries from his grocery store. In 1969, Joe Rogan discovered fresh roasted coffee beans while traveling through Italy. He brought them back to America and started the Rogan Coffee Company in San Francisco. Since then, Rogan's Coffee has been a leading source of quality fresh roasted coffee around the world.

Fresh roasted coffee history in Campbell, California started in the early 1800s when a small farmer named John Wesley Hill founded a small coffee plantation near present-day Campbell. Hill was the first to roast and package his own coffee. Campbell is a small town in the San Joaquin Valley of California, United States. The population was 1,993 at the 2010 census. It lies about 20 miles (32 km) east of Fresno and 30 miles (48 km) south of Stockton. The townsite was laid out by pioneers in 1847, when General George Armstrong Custer led his Seventh Cavalry through this area during theirodiplomatic expedition to extend wagon lines into Nevada. Campbell's first post office opened in 1851. The name "Campbell" comes from the first settler, James Campbell, who arrived here in 1847 and named it after himself. In 1893, John Wesley Powell discovered water sources for irrigation northwest of Campbell and notified the local officials. In 1902–03, efforts were made to fill up the wells near present-day Fillmore with explosives so that they could be used as part of an irrigation project; however, no such attempt was successful because local farmers opposed drilling on their land without their consent or compensation. A short time later a group of investors organized a cotton gin operation at what is now Fillmore and started producing cottonseed oil from longhorns that were being raised thereabouts for market purposes only. However, this venture failed as well because local residents objected to being taxed for production that did not take place on their own land within their own communities boundaries! In 1909–10 John Fenton built a small frame schoolhouse on property where Fillmore School now stands; he named it "Fenton High School." In 1922–23 Don Ladd built a two-story stuccoed school building which served as both the town hall and municipal library until 1945 when it was replaced by what is now called Main Street Elementary School #1; it still serves as the town hall today! The community also developed an unofficial system of trade known as "the greengage." This involved swapping goods or services with other locals who had similar needs or interests outside of farming or ranching activities

Campbell, California is a small town in the Central Valley of California. The population was 2,624 at the 2010 census. It is part of Fresno County. The town was founded in 1868 by James W. Campbell and his wife Caroline Bicknell Campbell as a trading post on the east side of the San Joaquin River between Butte and Plumas Counties. In 1872, Campbell donated land to the town for a public square and schoolhouse which were completed in 1875. The first post office opened in 1870 and closed in 1912; it was reopened in 1913 as an electric office with mail service from Fresno. In 1902, Campbell donated 500 acres (2 km²) to the county for agricultural use; this became known as "Campbell Ranch". The ranch was sold to Joe Smeaton in 1944 and it reverted back to Campbell's ownership until it was sold to Google Incorporated in 2002. Campbell had one newspaper, The Independent Journal, until its closure on October 1, 1907 due to financial difficulties caused by firewood prices increases within California at that time. The first night of school for both students and staff occurred September 6th 1897 when two-thirds of the full-time teachers from several surrounding schools arrived early from their winter homes just outside Sacramento so they could offer their services free during that Thanksgiving week break! Classes continued unbroken through Thursday night (November 5th) thanks largely to Mrs Stevenson’s baking skills! One can only imagine how things would have gone if she had not been available!
Campbell, California was founded in 1853 by brothers John and James Campbell. The town was named for their father, Campbell of Scotland. The Assemblies of the First United States Congress were held at the town in 1855.
