Petersen's Camera Shop would continue to be a major player in the gift industry until it closed its doors in 1968 due to economic hard times. During World War II, local residents helped out by donating items like food and clothing to diffenent military camps across California along with munitions they had collected during their raids into occupied Japan (some items still remain at these locations today). Many people also made donations throughribute drives or took advantage of wartime printing sales opportunities that arose from shortages caused by war production restrictions. After World War II ended, many families who had contributed during wartime decided not to give away anyOf their assets but instead use them towards later purchases or investments within their community or country(s). This period known as "the post-war era" is often consideredto have been one of stability and prosperity for the region because so much new business had come online thanks largely to postwar baby boomers who were newly entering middle age after having served during both world wars.(Murphy) In 1971, Mr./Mrs. Kapp donated $50000 paperweight sculpture called "Cowboy" located at east end of town off US HWY 395 near current day Pahrump AFB.* This was followed three years later by another donation - this time an ironwood plank fence railing worth $4000 which became known as "The Kapp Fence." The fence now surrounding most of town is also home to two large wind turbines!* In 1978 another large donation - this time an entire truckload of school Supplies valued at $8000 - became known as "The Lynch Truck". School Supplies continued being donated regularly until 1991 when all donations were discontinued due mainly to budget restraints within county government.(Dixon) * Note: According gift attribution tool listing on GoFundMe., there is evidence that this statue actually once stood at east end Of town off US HWY 395 near present day Pahrump AFB however no record exists documenting this particular donation

Campbell was founded in 1871 by J.D. Campbell, a homesteader who named his new town after his brother-in-law, General James H. Wilson. The post office was first established in 1893 and remained in operation until 1920. In 1905, the city of Campbell passed an ordinance allowing for the sale of liquor on premise to residents within its limits. By 1919, the population of Campbell had grown so much that it necessitated passage of another ordinance limiting sales to those over 21 years old only. As one of the most populous cities in Northern California during the early 20th century, Campbell developed a strong downtown business district which remains important today as a commercial center for the region. One local landmark located near downtown is the now defunct Campbell Natatorium which served as an outdoor pool and swimming hole from 1914 until 1977 when it was replaced by the current John F Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum Complex (now known as UC Berkeley’s Haas Pavilion).
