Campbell is a small town in the state of California, located about 20 miles east of Sacramento. It is situated on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, which served as the primary means of transportation for the area until it was replaced by bus service in the early 21st century. The population of Campbell was 781 at the 2000 census. The first people to settle in what is now Campbell were Anglo-Saxons who arrived from England in 1847. They built a log cabin on a rise overlooking present day downtown Campbell and started farming their land. By 1860, more than 100 people lived in Campbell. The early years of Campbell’s history were difficult due to two wars fought by United States against Mexican forces that occurred nearby: The Alamo War (1865) and The Pecos War (1867). In 1879, local entrepreneur John Fenton purchased 640 acres near town for $5 per acre and began developing it into an agricultural center with irrigation systems and windmills. He named his new community after General Ulysses S. Grant’s granddaughter Julia Childernaide Bancroft Childers Fenton – then living in Mexico City – because he felt she would make an excellent ambassador for American culture to her native country’s citizens. In 1898, when California became a state, Campbell became part of its new San Joaquin County boundary as well as Kern County which included much of today’s Fresno County. However, many residents continued to reside in their original homes until after World War II when prices for farmland increased and subdivisions became available; this led to growth within what is now downtown Campbell as well as other areas around town such as Canoga Park northwest of town center and parts of Roseville northeast of town center. A major factor behind these changes has been the presence since 1957 of Northern Pacific Railroad Company Station #2 located on US Route 50 just north of downtown Campbell; this allowed easily access by commuters arriving or departing from both Sacramento Superior Airport directly west of town center as well as Placerville east central arterial highway providing easy access to all points west including Yosemite National Park across Highway 395 which forms most eastern border with Dawson City also located adjacent to Interstate 5 right outside city limits; thus endangering only those exiting I-5 southbound atexit 424 before merging with I-5 northbound at exit 422 - making this one highly congested exit/entrance onto I-5 corridor on both ends! Today there are no single points from which commuters can escape Downtown Campbell without leaving contaminants & noise pollution high & far inland beyond our city limits

The squadron was led by then-Captain Rickover and flew helicopters for search and rescue missions. Campbell, California is located in the Inland Empire of Los Angeles County in Southern California. It is bordered by Pasadena to the east and Orange to the west. The population was 953 as of the 2010 census. Campbell is part of Metropolitan LA, which has a total population of 3 million people. The first white person to live in what is now Campbell was Father Francisco Xavier Chavez who came overland from Mexico in 1847. He founded a mission sanitarium and school on Rancho Palos Verdes near Carson City in 1848. A post office called Mission San Gabriel was established at what is now known as Campbell on December 8, 1849 by José Antonio Crespo with James Bowie as its first Postmaster. During Mexican rule (1821-1857), ranching and farming were the primary economic activities in this area, but after Mapuche Indian raids began in 1861, Mexicans began to arrive to defend their land from these Native Americans. As a result, many Anglo-Americans moved into this area beginning around 1870s for work on cattle ranches or operating small businesses such as mercantile stores or ticket agents for stagecoaches traveling between Los Angeles and San Bernardino Valley towns like Ontario and Lancaster due to railroad construction nearvineyards including Winterset, Beaumont, Agua Dulce etc.. They brought with them their own social customs and language which gradually mixed with the local Natives until most residents spoke only English when they interacted with each other outside of family gatherings or business transactions. Some early pioneers who made their homes here include: George Witherspoon (the father of John Witherspoon), Jacob Senter (a member of an early Mormon Battalion that fought at Buena Vista during Mexican War) and his brother David Senter (founder & manager of The Arroyo Grande Mine). Mr. & Mrs.(Fannie) Alvord also built one home at 6100 Del Paso Boulevard/Campbell Canyon Road while others resided principally along Wasco Road & Eagle Ranch Road north of present day Antelope Valley Regional Park before moving out towards Graham Canyon Rd./Canyon Lake Rd., where they erected log cabin No 2 “Doris” dated 1865 still standing today backdropped by Mtn View Golf Course across I-15 just south off Antelope Valley Parkway exit #2; Drilling operations associated with oil exploration followed soon thereafter throughout much nearby Midway Rangesichenbeck Field Campground including wellheads visible from Eason Canyon Rd., Lookout Mesa about 100 yards northwest corner original Big Trees Cabin Site just west end Hwy 101 @ McKnight Dr./Norman Wells Rd., later renamed Cameron Hills Resort Area following discovery various large gas reservoirs within drilling areas during late 1960s thru early 1970s herein included Lower Big Trees Gas Well Site noted aboveqqkkk In 1875 Amador County was created from parts of Ventura County when voters ratified Proposition 2 through voting process held Decidely pursuant to law providing: "No county can be formed without unanimous consent from both houses thereof" Following annexation by LASA following passage through Legislature Jan 14th 1880 under authority vested therein by then existing Chihuahuan Desert Act chaparral reservation boundaries became effective... thus ending more than 50 years continuous free access open onlyto Anglos living on public lands vis-à-vis aboriginal nations...(see attached map) In 1912 Gertrude Bellemore authored an article entitled "Campbell--What it Means Today" published weekly weekdays supplementing then popular weekly city newspaper "The Californian".
