Airforce gift history in Carson, California began with the formation of the United States Air Force on July 14, 1947. The USAF was established as a branch of the military and used surplus military equipment that had been acquired during World War II. Many of these old aircraft were retired from service and stored at various airfields around the country. On July 14, 1947, General Curtis LeMay organized an event to unveil these retired planes and establish the USAF. This event was called "The Founding of the USAF." In addition to this event, General LeMay also created a program called Project Eager which aimed to acquire new technology for the USAF. This program was responsible for developing jet aircraft and other technological advancements for the USAF. Additionally, General LeMay led another organization known as Air Combat Command which was responsible for conducting combat operations in support of US Forces overseas. Today, there are over 300 active duty members within the USAF and over 100 reserve members who serve under AFCC command. The AFB in Carson has played an important role within this history by providing housing and facilities for AFTC personnel as well as hosting numerous functions such as ceremonies honoring deceased members or notable achievements within the USAF.

Carson, California is a small city in Inyo County, California. It was founded by George Carson in 1887 as a trading post on the San Joaquin River. The city was named after Governor of California Leviropaolo Carson and his wife Julia Bemis Carson. It has since grown to be one of the most populous cities in the state. The population was 955 at the 2010 census. The first permanent settlers were two brothers, Lorenzo and John Bidwell, who arrived in 1871 from Oregon. They built a cabin on Humboldt Bayou (now known as Bidwell Creek) and started irrigating land around it for crops. They also built four other cabins before they left in 1872 to become farmers themselves. In 1874, George Carson became the proprietor of what is now known as Carson Dam, which operated as a reservoir for irrigation purposes until it was destroyed by an earthquake in 1886. After that point, much of the growth within present-day Carson took place through annexation by other municipalities In 1902, Mayor Atherton Wray erected a wooden frame courthouse with Italianate architecture which still stands today at Ninth Street and Main Street; it served as the City Hall until 1957 when an all-steel building replaced it. The original cornerstone for this building was laid on December 14th of that year by Mayor Wray with Mrs. Clara Barton officiating; Mrs Barton later became president of California State University at Los Angeles (CSULA). The city's first firebrand mayor—George Atherton Wray—served from 1912 to 1916 during one of its most intense periods of growth following World War I when many businesses closed due to prohibitionism and money shortages consequent upon war rationing . In 1919–1920 Wray successfully negotiated passage of Proposition 8 which legalized interracial marriage statewide; this event helped kick off white flight away from black populated areas throughout Northern California starting in 1920s across America . City officials quickly responded to this trend by developing regulations limiting residency qualifications for new residents while providing free housing to current residents who could no longer affordluxury homes outside the city limits During prohibition years many African American citizens worked security or service jobs inside local bars and nightclubs while their families waited out prohibition ; however these services gradually ceased once repeal came about

Carson has experienced rapid growth since its incorporation as a city; it reached its current population size of 68,711 people in 2010. The history of Carson begins with prospectors looking for land to mine in what is now San Bernardino County. On July 12, 1881, two men named George and Jesse Hill established the first post office at Carson Creek on what is now East Side Avenue (now known as Northside Boulevard). Arthur Burnett became the first mayor of Carson on November 3rd, 1915 and served until his death on September 25th that year. Burnett was succeeded by James Jordon who served until he was elected Mayoralty Incumbent Clarence Beardsley on November 3rd 1921 after Benito Juarez’s election as Governor of California changed party affiliation from Republican to Democratic control which caused many small towns within Los Angeles County to secede and join forces with Pasadena (then called Pomona) against Beardsley’s re-election bid because they felt he wasn’t doing enough for them economically like Juarez had been done during his previous term as Mayoralties Incumbent when he increased taxes without bringing about any real change or improvement for their citizens. Beardsley ran unopposed for another term but lost to Juarez who appointed Raymond Hahn as City Controller instead making him the first African American City Councilman in Los Angeles County when he took office December 1st 1922 After being elected controller Hahn helped get money passed into law that would help fund social services for local black residents such as nightwatchmen and firemen which beganOperation Feeding America which provided groceries baskets to low income residents throughout Southern California every Wednesday morning from 1923 until 1942 due to lack of other resources food parcels were not an option so feeding America became known locally as Operation Bread Basket
