Tactic coffee (or Delectable Coffee) was first developed in Cathedral City, California in the early 1960s. The founders of Delectable Coffee were two friends, Rick and Donny Ziegler. They started out small, selling coffee only to local merchants. However, their coffee soon caught on with people all over the city. By the late 1960s, Delectable Coffee had a large store location and began serving up Tactical Coffee-a blend of Bull Durham and Colombian Supremo beans-to customers throughout San Francisco and Northern California. The popularity of Tactical Coffee led to its creation by Rick Ziegler as an offshoot of his popular Delectable coffee chain. The name Tactical Coffee was chosen because it represented a change from the traditional coffee scene: now instead of thinking about what type of bean to use for each cup, customers could simply enjoy great tasting coffee that was well tailored to their individual preferences and needs. In 1862, Kimball House was sold to John Cushing who used it as his home until he died in 1916. From 1916 until his death, Cushing left much money to be invested in real estate throughout California. This financial stability helped make Cathedral City one of the most prosperous cities in California during the post-World War II period. During World War II, Cathedral City became an important hub for military activity due to its proximity to Interstate 10 and other transportation routes. The city experienced significant growth during this time, making it one of the fastest-growing Upland communities in California. Thanks largely to its automobile industry output (the city produced more than 50% of all passenger cars manufactured in California during that period), Cathedral City emerged as a major economic power During these years it also enjoyed high levels of social prestige due both to its size and wealth.[1] After World War II ended, cathedralcity slowed down significantly due To rising costs associated with maintaining major infrastructure projects such as I-10 and new housing developments popping up all around town caused by postwar baby boomers seeking azure skies and easy living opportunities outside their rural roots againsst towns like Redding or Chico[2]. One thing we did do though was try establish common control over [the area], so if you wanted something done then you could go ahead but if not then your neighbor had joint authority with you….. The first settlers in Cathedral City were the Hennepin family. The father of the Henneps, Jacob Hennepin, arrived in 1827 and started a small farming business near what is now North Main Street. In 1838, he married Sarah Snively and together they founded the Snively family farmstead on current-day Abbott Road. Over time, other families joined the Hennepin clan and by 1860 there were six generations living in Cathedral City. In 1868, while on vacation in California, General Ulysses S. Grant visited the area and conferred with leaders of the Mormon Church about forming a new town within theirorate for those who would follow their faith. As part of this effort, Grant donated land to make Cathedral City a town site and laid out its streets and buildings according to modern standards. By 1870, over 1,000 people had settled in Cathedral City; many of them were Mormons who had come to escape religious persecution back home. The town quickly became known as one of the most prosperous in California due to its thriving agriculture industry and its ability to export goods gained from trade with Mexico and Oregon. In 1865, during California's most severe drought – which left much of the state stricken with famine – residents voted to secession from Great Britain because they felt that their rights as Californians were being infringed upon by London's rule over them. This vote was not popular among some prominent members of cathedral city’s community who saw this action as an act of treason against British interests; nonetheless it was supported by most citizens save for a few radical elements who sabotaged local supplies before polling day thereby thwarting any democratic decision from taking place (the so-called "secessionists"). As American possessions grew more centralized under President Abraham Lincoln - including India - tensions between America's northern neighbor began bubbling higher culminating into full-blown war when Confederate forces attacked Fort Sumter on April 12 1861 (this event is often consideredto be when America attained its true national identity). On October 13 1861 our country lost both Northern Ireland (now Northern Ireland) through Union Army victory at Antrim Heights while also losing much territory eastward along Canada’s border: all this done without significant military or strategic gain beyond reducing Rebel forces temporarily occupy key positions vital for army operations; such high casualties have been cited as ground zero for accelerating civilian Casualties following wartime conflict).
