The Chino Hills, California Army Depot is the primary armory for the United States military in the San Joaquin Valley. It was originally established in 1916 as a munitions depot and has since become a research center and storage facility for advanced technology and munitions. The depot also houses various other branches of the U.S. military including the Air Force Reserve Command, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard, and Army's Battalion Headquarters and Services Company. The post served with distinction during World War II including being evacuated to Japan during the bombing campaign against Hiroshima on April 6th 1945 due to fire from Japanese artillery bombardment that had destroyed much downtown Hiroshima that day despite protection given by Emperor Hirohito who ordered all civilian buildings not to be hit! Afterward it reverted back to a barracks until it was sold off in 1969 becoming property belonging to Southern Pacific Railroad Co . which continues to house many pieces from that era including two locomotives used for freight service between Fresno and Stockton! Today there are several buildings attached to this former post such as: a engine shop; administrative building; mess hall; rifle range; machine gun range; training areas for both infantrymen and tanks; dumpster collection area; weapon storage area complete with mock-up artillery pieces made from steel plates welded together like those used at Pearl Harbor! The first word means "farmstead" and the second word means "homes." A small park was created adjacent to the substation called "Pasadena Park". Santa Anita Race track also served as an important location for transportation during early days when horse cars pulled carts around town before buses took off from nearby Dominguez Street stop on Prospect Avenue
