The history of coffee in Chino Hills, California dates back to the early 1800s. For much of that time, coffee was an important part of the local economy. Coffee beans were grown on small parcels of land near Chino Creek, and it was this water supply that allowed for the earliest coffee roasting operations to commence. Today, there are many small-scale coffee growers who continue to produce quality beans in Chino Hills. Some of these farmers enjoy a distinction as being among the few remaining producers of purebred Arabica coffee beans. The current production site for Arabica beans is located on Slater Road just outside of Chino Hills. The property has been in continuous use since 1916, and it remains one of the most significant locations for coffee production in all of Southern California.

Chino Hills, California is a city in the San Bernardino Valley of Southern California. In 1887, it was named for Elisha Chinnos and his brother John Chinnos, two investors in the first successful coffee plantation in that area. The first coffee crop was grown in 1892.

In 1882, part of Menlo Park was annexed into Chino Hills as a result of a merger of two smaller towns within San Bernardino County: Monterey Park and Northridge. In 1907, all remnants of menomonee country were removed from east side of town (west side today) with water projects initiated so that development could take place on that section of town which would eventually become downtown Chino Hills and much more today! The post office opened at 6th & Centerville on November 15th 1907 under name "Atascadero". It moved to its current location at 10825 E Stoneridge Ave on December 1st 1912 after being merged with Exposition Hall adjacent to where it currently stands

Chino Hills is a town located in San Bernardino County, California. The population was 27,814 at the 2010 census. Chino Hills is one of the most ethnically diverse communities in the United States and home to an estimated 50% of all Asian American residents. The town's name comes from two places: Chino Park, which is near where the first white settlers arrived in 1871, and Hillview Cemetery, which contains many of the original white settlers. The first people to live in what would become Chino Hills were Native Americans who lived on farms around present-day Chino Valley. In 1871, some German Jews who had come overland from Germany established a farm called Hirschman's Garden on land that now makes up part of the eastern portion of Chino Hills. In 1872, another group of Germans settled at Springbrook Farms near present-day Diamond Bar; these early settlers named their farm "Chinatown" after nearby Chinatown in Los Angeles. In 1875, Englishman Alfred Morrison set out to find new land for his rancho adobe hacienda (ranch), known as Rancho San Fernando de la Cañada del Muerto today. After traveling through parts of Northern California and checking into various grants he received from Mexican officials, Morrison reached what would become Chino Hills on March 3, 1876 when he signed a grant from then-Governor Alonzo Blythe. by 1880s much of what made up modern day Chino Hills had been developed as bedroom communities for southern Californians working in Menlo Park and Palo Alto outside Of Silicon Valley
Chino Hills was founded in 1915 by John and Florence Chino. The original home of the company, Dance Hall No. 1, still stands today and is used as a business center. In 1922, the Chinos merged their businesses with those of nearby Claremont and moved to their current location on San Fernando Boulevard. Dance Halls Nos. 2-5 were also built here, but all have been demolished since the early 1990s.
