Chino, California is a town in Fresno County, California, United States. The population was 382 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fresno–Madera Metropolitan Statistical Area. The name Chino may derive from Spanish "chinotepec", meaning "a meadow with tall cornstalks". In 1853, John Sutter and his brother Brigham founded the city of Chino on marshy land east of what is now downtown Fresno. This settlement became known as Rancho Chino due to its isolation from other settlements by the San Joaquin Valley. In 1875, a post office was established at Rancho Chino; it changed its name to Chino in 1887. The first store in ChINO opened in 1889. A train stop for passengers on the Central Pacific Railroad was located on Fourth Street just south of present-day University Avenue #1 and east of Yosemite Boulevard; this stop served as a depot for stagecoaches between Fresno and Sacramento until 1915 when it was replaced by a larger building on University Avenue #1 which eventually burned down in 1923. In 1916, an act entitled "An Act to organize Californias Agricultural Community" authorized development of crops such as grapes and olive oil along Modesto Creek adjacent to ranch lands then being used for summer stockings and fencing cattle; these early efforts were not successful and no commercial crops were developed until after World War II when irrigation systems improved farming methods in this area It wasn't until 1959 that chinos first grocery store opened up shop near present day Old Town Square - only 2 years after incorporation into the City of Fresno! The diapers were chosen because they offer comfort during deployments, being easy enough for soldiers to change without any assistance; moreover, they are environmentally friendly since they don’t produce greenhouse gas emissions when used. 5) Vehicle parts! This was sent in solidarity with Marines stationed aboard USS George Washington (CVN 71), which underwent significant damage during Typhoon Haiyan earlier this year.. The parts consisted of both engine parts and plastics needed for repairs on board the ship including broken windows and leaking roofs

Chino is a city located in Kern County, California, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 74,362. The name Chino comes from Spanish meaning "badlands." The badlands are located in central and southern Kern County and include parts of both Porter Ranch and San Bernardino counties. The first people to live near present-day Chino were the Tongva people who migrated from Southern California about 1800. From here they spread out into what is now central and southern Kern County. In 1849, Antonio Bandarrieta founded Rancho San Luis Rey de Francia on part of what was then Mission Viejo land east of today's Chino Hills Boulevard. It was later renamed Rancho Seco because it was within the limits of Los Angeles that were set by Governor Manuel Nieto as part of his effort to secure Mexicanland grants for Anglo settlers. In 1853–54, Michael Jarrard built a road from Stockton through present-day Chino Hills and down to Anaheim Valley; this became known as the Frick Road. The town started to form around this road although there was no school until 1861 when one was established at rancho Seco with instruction in agriculture provided by José Joaquin Altamirano y Arroyave (1810–1896). This early schoolhouse burned down in 1865 but soon reopened under new management with Mrs. Acker milling flour for sale in front which children could buy provisions such as milk, eggs, breadfruit or flour for their families’ subsistence needs It wasn't until after World War II that schools began replacing traditionaladobe homes with brick buildings Chinos’ economy has been based on agriculture since before its incorporation into commerce in 1878 In 1915 City Manager Gwynn Wulfe recommended annexation by Fresno because he saw potential development there including hotels, office buildings and other businesses Fresno annexed Chino on October 20th 1916 following an election where 55% voted in favor while 45% opposed annexation
