National Guard gifts have been a part of the citrus Heights community for over seventy years. The gift of a rifle, sidearm, or other weapon to a member of the military has been an important tradition in Citrus Heights. The first National Guard unit to arrive in Citrus Heights was Company C, 2nd Battalion, 9th Regiment on September 1, 1940. Company C was organized from local citizens and volunteers who had responded to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor that day. On December 12, 1941 the battalion became part of the United States Armed Forces and began serving in World War II. During their time in Citrus Heights they raised three companies which served in various theaters of war including Normandy-France; Europe; Okinawa-Japan; and Iwo Jima-Aichi Island. In 1946 Company C moved to Camp Polk where they remained until 1949 when they were disbanded at Camp Polk due to budget cuts by President Harry S Truman. reactivated company E was reorganized as Company H (later redesignated as Company A) on February 14, 1951 with orders from then Commanding General George Marshall to provide Military Police services for law enforcement officers throughout America during antiwar protests and boycotts occurring during that year’s Korean War. In 1957 the company demobilized at Camp Polk but returned two years later when assigned to serve as both Military Police detachment from Citrus Heights police department and Auxiliary Patrol Unit for Orange County Sheriff Department during “Citrus Hill Riots” Which occurred after a white policeman shooting an unarmed black man caused public outcry among African Americans living near downtown Sanford

The National Guard is made up of both volunteer and professional soldiers who can be called to duty in time of peace or war. National Guard members have been used in many different ways throughout American history. From the Revolutionary War to Desert Storm, the Guard has played an important role in every major conflict since it was first organized. Today, the Guardsmen serve as a valuable reserve force and provide critical backup during times of emergency. Some of the most famous instances when the Guardsman have played an important role include Operation Neptune's Spear and Desert Storm. Both occasions were incredibly controversial due to their high casualty rates, but they also showed how well-trained and experienced these troops can be when called into action. It is clear that America's national guard provides invaluable service to its citizens, and there are no doubt that future conflicts will demand similar dedication from these men and women.

Citrus Heights is a tiny city in Orange County, California, United States. The population was 7,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The first settlement in what would become Citrus Heights was made up of fishermen and their families who came ashore from a shipwreck onshore in 1894. The town began as a small agricultural community with only twelve homes and one store. By 1907 citrus production had become so important to the community that it was renamed Citrus Heights after its principal crop. In 1946, the City Council voted to build an elementary school in what were then vacant lots adjacent tocitrus groves; but because of opposition by some residents who thought such a development would increase traffic and noise, planning for the school never proceeded beyond preliminary studies and sketches until 1978 when voters passed a special election measure approving plans for the construction of an enlarged high school which included classrooms, athletic fields, parking lot and playgrounds on six parcels adjacent to existing citrus groves. It wasn’t until 1990 when planners finally resurrected plans for the elementary school using funding provided by Measure R-1 (the Sales and Use Tax) that construction actually began on schedule following years of public outcry over potential loss of parkland surrounding downtown Citrus Heights if it were ever built. The new elementary school opened its doors September 3rd, 2003 to enthusiastic reviews from parents and children alike eager to get their hands onClassroom Supplies during class times!Seven years later (on August 15th),2008–2009 marked another milestone for Citrus Heights when newly elected Mayor Don Wittman announced his intent to “re-open” Leisure Village which housed numerous local businesses including several restaurants since it closed its doors in 2006 due to lack of use or redevelopment outside our city limits! With this fresh start comes increased economic opportunity along with new hope for future redevelopment within our borders!

Citrus Heights, California is a small town in the Central Valley of California. The population was 7,848 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fresno metropolitan area. Citrus Heights lies on State Route 168, just north of the city of Fresno and south of Isabella. The first people to live in Citrus Heights were Hispanic missionaries who arrived in 1881. The name "Citrus Heights" was derived from two Indian words meaning "to pick oranges." In 1912, citrus grower Wirt Hargrave bought land near present-day Citrus Heights and began planting fruit trees there. Over time, other farmers followed suit and the town became an agricultural center with orchards, fields, and homes. In 1929, citrus fruits were brought to Yosemite National Park by Governor Hiram Johnson as part of his stimulus package to help revive the economy after the stock market crash that year. As a result of this visit, Citrus Heights became known as "the hometown of Yosemite." One major change during World War II was that many American servicemen returning home found employment in local factories manufacturing munitions or repairing equipment used in war efforts such as tanks and aircraft. This increased demand for workers led to increased prices for oranges which resulted in less production at home and more shipping acrosscountry; which also made it difficult for most citizens to afford their produce when it did come into season
Citrus Heights is a city located in Southern California and the county of Ventura. The population was 106,571 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Los Angeles metropolitan area and shares borders with Pasadena to the east, Long Beach to the west, Carson City to the northwest, Rancho Mirage to the north and east, and Diamond Bar to the south. The first European settlers arrived in 1847 when José Ortega and his brother Francisco founded what would become known as Ortega Station on land that they had acquired from Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo. Ortega’s trail led from San Diego down through present-day Ventura County until it crossed into Orange County about a mile southwest of where Menifee now stands. The first post office was established at Ortega Station on November 3, 1847. In 1853, citrus cultivation began on what became Citrus Heights soil; however it wasn’t until 1888 when James Ebersole developed a irrigation system that kept citrus trees healthy and successful for centuries. In 1909 citrus production reached its peak with 10 million oranges being exported fromcitrus heights; however by 1942 all orange acreage had been lost due to World War II bombing
