Another major naval gift to Citrus Heights came in 1951 when Rear Admiral John Wainwright gave away USS Constitution Museum artifacts including cannons, uniforms and other naval memorabilia to citruheight residents in memory of her namesake (Ulysses S Grant). At that time citruheight had no public park system and these donations were instrumental in helping create such a Heritage Park today! Another significant naval donation came in 1984 when Rear Admiral Don Haddockdonated USS Arizona Memorial Museum artifacts including four ships bow turrets (the USS Arizona Memorial Museum is located on First Street near Fourth Avenue) as well as three masts from HMS Victory which served aboard HMS Durban during World War 1! These donations helped contribute towards restoration work on both structures which are now open to the public!

Richards became wealthy from his business ventures and donated land to make Citrus Heights as an unincorporated community. The town was officially created on December 12, 1907 with a population of just 10 people. Citrus Heights has experienced rapid growth since its incorporation into the city of Sacramento; it reached its current size in 1950. The economy has been based mainly on agriculture and real estate since then; however, some recent businesses have entered the market such as Apple Inc.'s headquarters complex which opened in 2007 and Toyota's new production facility which began operations in 2009

In 1984, Mayor George Moscone dedicated a plaza near State Street and Euclid Avenue called "Moscone Plaza" in memory of Mayor Moscone and other key civic leaders who had died in office before he took office. In 1990, Mayor Dianne Feinstein dedicated another plaza adjacent to San Francisco International Airport called "Airport Plaza". An air traffic control tower has been located at 5500 Airport Boulevard since 1978; it replaced a previous tower that was destroyed by fire on December 18, 1979. The current tower was built after being damaged byandals on October 21, 2013; it replaced an old structure that had been vandalized for years prior to its destruction A large parcel of land adjacent to Interstate 80 serves as home plate for various auto races run there including NASCAR events such as the Daytona 500 and Coca Cola 600 . These events have generated significant economic activity for Citrus Heights over time . In recent years there have also been music concerts held at venues such as Sleepy Lagoon Amphitheater which are popular among locals and tourists alike
