Over the years, I’ve seen many heartfelt gestures from my fellow Marines - everything from handwritten cards to United Way donations - all designed specifically for local relief efforts during natural disasters such as earthquakes or hurricanes. It’s truly an honor to see them put their lives on hold just so that we can help those in need!

Clearlake is a city in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The population was 54,859 at the 2010 census. Clearlake is located on the eastern edge of downtown San Francisco, and it borders Walnut Creek to the east and Richmond to the northwest. It is bordered by Hunters Point National Wildlife Refuge to the south and east, Menlo Park to the north and west, and Alameda County to the northwest. The name "Clearlake" comes from two sources: one meaning a meadow or glen where clear water flows freely (from Clear Lake), while another source suggests that this place be named after a white oak trees which are abundant in its area ( recalling what looked like a “clear” body of water ). As early as 1847 people were reporting seeing Indians living near Clearlake creek bed. In 1879 John Pacheco purchased land at present day Fourth Street & Mission Avenue for $1,000 from James McKay who had homesteaded there in 1835. By 1886 much of what now makes up Contra Costa County was encompassed within Clearlake's limits - including parts of Walnut Creek and Richmond - when Pacheco sold his land again for $2,500 In 1906 local resident W Fenton donated 920 acres (40 km²) of rolling hills southeast of town to become part of Clearlake park which still includes some accessible open space today. At first all that was available forresidential development were small lots accessed by foot through farmland off 4th Street between Mission Avenue & Page Road; later developments took place on five large parcels known as The Hills . As Muni bus service increased ridership throughout San Francisco during WWI various businesses began offering travel tickets allowing passengers to ride any bus stop they pleased within walking distance from their homes. Many residents took advantage of this opportunity as long as they could get off at their stops without having to cross busy streets or board buses at an undesired location

Clearlake is a city in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The population was 362 at the 2010 census. It is located on the eastern edge of San Francisco Bay and along the shore of Clearlake Lake. Clearlake is one of the wealthiest cities in Northern California and has been nicknamed "The City by the Bay" for its location. Clearlake was first settled in 1868 by Russians who were looking for land to grow opium under a treaty with Mexico. In 1892, John Feston Rice developed what would become Clearlake Ranch. Clearlake and its adjacent townships were incorporated as a city on November 3, 1916. The Russian settlement at Clearlake was destroyed in an accidental fire on December 6, 1868, when a party of men working near Twelfth Street ignited an area where burned down some barns that had been used for storage crops. A group of six Russian immigrants from Ekaterinburg built a small cabin near what is now known as Hwy 101 near present-day Castro Valley and started growing opium until they were forced out by Mexican authorities following the Mexican-American War (1846-48). The Clearlake area was first settled by the Chumash in the 1800s. The name "Clearlake" is derived from a Mission San Antonio de Padua founded in 1821 on land that now includes Clearlake and adjacent suburbs. The mission is known for its elaborate stuccoed facade, which still remains today. The early settlers were of Spanish and Mexican descent, and many of them became ranchers and farmers. In 1851, a group of Englishmen named Easton bought Rancho Pastoria de las Pulgas (later part of Clearlake) from the CalifornioMexican concessionaire Francisco Peralta. They began to build a ranch there, but it failed to take off because they didn't have any water or grazing rights. They then sold the property to James Waddell in 1863. Waddell decided to make Clearlake his home, and he built himself a mansion there called Villa Clara (later renamed Palace). Some people believe that Waddell was inspired to name his house after Lady Macbeth's castle because he thought it would be a popular name among Americans living in California at the time. There are also several stories about how Waddell came up with the idea for Clearlake: one says he wanted something with an unlimited supply of water so he could build an aqueduct; another says he wanted someplace where people couldn't come near him because he knew how evil they were; still others say that he simply liked how beautiful clear Lake Arrowhead looked from his house. In 1876, Captain John Atherton laid out what would eventually become ClearLake as far north as Stevenson Boulevard on what is now State Route 96A
