Clearlake is a small town in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Valley region of California, located about 10 miles east of Sacramento. It has a population of about 60,000 people and is served by the Clearlake Unified School District. The town was founded in 1872 by two brothers, John and George Clearlake. In 1892, it became part of the new county of Sacramento. As a result of its location on the American River and its agricultural base, Clearlake was known as "The indispensable farm land" for many years. According to one source, Clearlake's first Guns & Ammo store opened in 1923. In 1951,Clear Lake became an unincorporated community when it merged with neighboring Happy Valley to form the present-day Clearlake Unified School District. At that time, there were only six schools in the district; now there are twenty-six schools within the district ( twelve public school campuses and twelve charter schools). As gunfire increased throughout America during World War II, gun shops sprang up all over California to adapt to the needs of war shooters. clear lake had one such shop from 1951 until 1978 when it closed due to lack of business opportunity after merger with other districts

Clearlake is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 25,752 at the 2010 census. Clearlake is part of the Greater Los Angeles Area and is located adjacent to both Koreatown and Hawthorne. The first people to arrive in Clearlake were Cahuilla Indians who came from central Arizona about 1820. They built wigwams on what is now Fort Point Park in 1827-28. A resident of Clearlake named John Sutter established Sutter's Battalion during the Mexican–American War in 1846 as an infantry regiment under General Antonio López de Santa Anna. After the war it became part of the United States when California was admitted into the Union as a state in 1850. In 1905, two brothers by the name of Carlson started a grocery store on Redondo Avenue called The Grapeseed Store. In 1909 they moved to their current location which they have been occupying ever since. Today, The Grapeseed Store has over 40 years of continuous operation and serves over 100 local customers including many local politicians and business owners such as Mayor Pro Tem Donny Youngblood and City Councilmember Michael Antonovich The history of Clearlake starts with Indian settlers who arrived here around 1800 AD because there was no water available for irrigation in central Arizona so they chose this area instead where they built wigwams out of split logs which would last through winter due to their use of adobe mortar which helped keep them warm during winter months when there wasn't much snow or ice left on the ground after summer rainsstorms had cleared it away leaving behind very wet areas that resembled savannahs! These early residents did not know about electricity yet so clear Lake was filled with ponds that held potash until it could be shipped off to various places like Tucson for fertilizer! Eventually enough people got interested in making money from renting land (and selling water rights) so businesses started up - one example being John Sutter's Grocery store which opened up shop right next door to George Wittenheimer's post office back when mail service only took 1 day per week! It wasn't until sometime later that we began using electric lights but even then some folks still used natural gas lighting because those were cheaper than electric lights at that time!! One interesting fact about early Clearlake residents regarding this subject is that all 5 original families who lived here settled within 5 miles radius each other so it didn't take long before everyone knew each other well enough to start buying groceries together! Another interesting fact about this area up until quite recently is that most all homes east of I-10 were eitherbuilt brand new or completely rebuilt/renovated after being destroyed by fire - something you can still see today if you look carefully!! Today Clearlake contains 25,752 residents making it one of Southern California’s most densely populated cities – larger even than Los Angeles proper – with a median household income above $86,000 and nearly half its citizens living below poverty line (%) . According to2010 US Census data , almost two thirds (63%)of all households are composed onlyof family members while just 17% contain any single adult occupant; single parent families make up more than four fifths (77%)of all households but housing costs increasingly burden middle class homeownership rates clear Lake also experiences high levels unemployment rates bordering onto 30%. Amongst young adults aged 20-24%, employment rates hover near 50%. However these lows may begin changing beginning next year as job postings become more plentiful and competitive thanks largely to growing technological advances especially among small businesses looking for skilled workers . Overall though stagnation seems relatively entrenched across nearly every sector typical characteristics included herein without exception: high crime rate (-30%), lacklustre infrastructure (−40%), low quality education (+30%), paucity affordable housing (−50%).
