Corcoran is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 25,628 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Riverside-San Bernardino Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Europeans to visit Corcoran were Spanish missionaries in 1769. A post office called Corcoran was established in 1857, and became a town on November 15, 1872 when it was annexed by San Bernardino County. The railroad arrived in 1893 and development began quickly; within 10 years Corcoran had over 100 buildings and 1,000 residents. In 1915 the City Council adopted a resolution proclaiming June 12th as Municipal Day in commemoration of the centennial of Irapuato's arrival to Calafia (now Corona).
