Corona, California is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. It is the smallest city in San Bernardino County by population and the second-smallest after Riverside. The estimated population for 2017 was 66,083 people. The first Europeans to visit this area were naturalists and missionaries who traveled in 1848 when gold was discovered near what is now Pomona. The town of Corona began formal development as a result of these efforts in the 1870s. By 1910, Corona had a population of over 100 people and was serving as an agricultural center for rural San Bernardino County. However, during World War II Corona became home to many military personnel stationed at nearby Miramar Air Force Base. After the war ended, growth resumed with new housing developments being developed along Interstate 810 and other transportation improvements helping to spur economic development around the nucleus of the original settlement which included three churches (the First Baptist Church, Christ Episcopal Cathedral and Our Lady of La Guadalupe), two hotels (the Riverside Hotel and Starlite Inn), four restaurants (Lingua Italiana on Main Street and Benares Chinese Restaurant on Fourth Avenue), five businesses (one bank, one grocery store/market, four carpenters shops/and two druggists) and more than fifty homes. They served a type of coffee that was roasted on a small scale and then heated until it was melted down and used as currency. The first espresso machine was invented in 1805 by Angelo Petrini. It took over 10 years before coffee could be consumed commercially outside of Italy. In 1847, George Stephenson developed the locomotive that popularized the railroads and brought coffee production to England. In 1912, Dutchman Jacob van den Bergh created the world’s first commercial vacuum brewer, which he called the Koffiekop (coffeepot). This machine made it possible for people all over the world to purchase their own cups of Joe without having to go through an entire store. The modern era of Coffee began in 1971 when Richard Branson founded Virgin Coffee with his brother David Branson. They started selling ground beans from their home brewery near London, England. Today we enjoy millions of cups of delicious coffee every day around the world!

Corona is a city in Orange County, California, United States. The population was 24,814 at the 2010 census. It is part of the San Bernardino– Riverside metropolitan area. The first permanent settlement in Corona was made on December 12, 1847 by John Sutter and his brother-in-law, George Hearn. They named their new land Rancho Santa Ana de la Laguna because of its location near La Gorce Hill (now known as Irvine Hills). The town started to grow rapidly afterAFew small businesses opened up and people began to commute to jobs in Los Angeles or Anaheim. In 1858, the founders of City Hall built a log cabin as their municipal building and began to call themselves " Citizens of Corona." In 1868 the town voters passed an ordinance establishing a school district; it became known as Corona School District #1. That same year saw the opening of what is now Pepperdine University; although there had been talks about opening a university in Corona for some time prior to this, this was the first college campus established within Orange County. One interesting event that took place during these early years was when members of City Hall were burned down by vandals while they were working on improving conditions inside their building. Fortunately no one was hurt and all evidence associated with the fire has been preserved in archaeological digs conducted over the years at City Hall! In 1870, Mayor James Hatton put together a committee to study ways to improve transportation options between Corona and Los Angeles throughthe construction of either a railroad or road connecting both cities. After much deliberation and public hearings that lasted several months, it was decided that developing a railroad would be more beneficial for both cities economy than undertaking any other type of infrastructure project at that time; therefore tracks were laid across what is now Newport Boulevard south of downtown Corona and soon local farmers could transport goods all the way from Lancaster east into Los Angeles without having to go through Huntington Beach or Fullerton! During this time period too many immigrants were arriving from eastern Europe who didn't have proper Americanized names so various attempts were made (and still are being made) to rename Corona after famous European landmarks like Eiffel Tower or London Bridge – anything but Corona del Mar which wasn't properly taken into account by most planners/builders/citizens back then because it wasn’t considered especially important strategically speaking given how far away such places actually were! Eventually things did change however when developer John Doerr approached Mayor Hatton about constructing an apartment complex called “Doerr Place” right outside downtown where people could easily get access before work each day if they needed or wanted tea etc.; consequently “Citizenship” was finally given back unto them once again! This gave birth once more to another myth surrounding our city – we weren't really founded until after World War II 😉 🙂 Throughout these years there have also been numerous redevelopment projects taking place here such as Live Oak Shopping Center whichopened up next door on Laguna Niguel Boulevard in 1987 followed by Primavera mall which opened up just north of downtown in 1997). These developments helped contribute significantly towards increasing employment opportunities within our city limits as well as bringing about increased wealth and commercial development within our boundaries which has led us ever since onto oneof Southern California's most successful communities luring businesses with exciting job growth opportunities along with quality schools and parks
The first Europeans to arrive in what is now Corona were the Spanish Franciscan missionaries, who arrived in 1542. The area was part of Alta California, and as such, it was under Mexican control at the time. In 1821, when Mexico City fell to United States forces during the Mexican-American War, Corona became part of the newly created state of California. The town was founded by Juan Rodríguez Caballero in 1847 and named for his father, Don José de la Costa y Costilla. It grew rapidly due to its location on a shipping channel connecting San Francisco with Los Angeles and its access to goods brought overland from China. On July 20, 1850, Corona received a charter from Governor Manuel Micheltorena making it an incorporated city with a population of 10,000 people. In 1862–1863, following the American Civil War, Corona experienced a large influx of soldiers returning home from fighting in the south. This increased demand for goods and services within the town caused prices for staples like bread to sky high. As a result of this inflationary environment, many people abandoned their homes and moved into makeshift shacks called "quilterias" or "casa blanca." In 1865–1866 local poet Federico García Lorca wrote his famous poem "Corona," which is set in Corona and reflects on his experiences there during that year's wrestling season (the prelude to Mexico's Primera División championship). The poem later became known as one of Garcia Lorca's most popular works
