Fresh roasted coffee is a unique and delicious tradition in the California community of Covina. The beans are roasted fresh on site, and every cup of coffee has a different flavor and aroma. The origins of this specific style of coffee can be traced back to the early 1800s when Italian immigrants began roasting their own coffee. These days, there are many cafes throughout Covina that offer fresh roasted coffee, as well as online orders. The first cafe in Covina was founded in 1892 by Antonio Politi, who operated a small grocery store on State Street. Politi decided to roast his own beans, which he called "Pistolero Coffee." He sold his beans direct to consumers from his small shop until 1916 when he opened a second store, also on State Street. In 1925, Politi's son-in-law Angelo Giorgio opened another location on Olive Avenue near El Monte High School. This cafe became known as the "Giorgio's." In 1951, Angelo Giorgio's son Carlo created the first espresso machine for home use and started selling Kopak Coffee capsules at his shop. Kopak Coffee was developed by Angelo Giorgio and Carlo as an affordable way to provide people with high-quality espresso without having to go out into the city for it. Kopak Coffee continues to be produced today by Carlo Giorgio and his sons Giancarlo and Salvatore Giorgi in their original locations across Covina. On May 1st, 1957, Antonio Politi died after long illness at the age of 90 years old. His son Giovanni took over operations of Pistolero Coffee while Antonio's wife Immacolata ran the family business until her death in 1978. In 1984, Giovanni announced that they would no longer produce Kopak Coffee capsules because they were struggling financially; however they continue production of ground coffee under new name - Italy Roasters (IRT). In 1990Angelo Giorgio passed away suddenly at age 84 years old leaving behind an legacyof excellence in roastingand marketingcoffee along with more than 20 years experience managing businesses including Pistoletero Caffe & Bottega delle Donne (1940-1990), La Pizzeria Dentro (1986-) & La Fortuna(1994-) . Aftermarket sales continued until 2003 when IRT closed its doors due to financial difficulties caused by recessionary times..

Covina is a small, central California town of about 25,000 people located on the east side of San Bernardino County. It was founded in 1887 by Nicholas Covino and his wife Anna Maria. The Covino family built a ranch that included many sheds and outbuildings for their cows and horses. Over time, the Covino family developed a farming operation that produces hay, cotton, fruits and vegetables. In 1946, the Covinos sold their farm to the United States government for use as an air force base. Today, Covina is one of two towns in San Bernardino County that are still served by the local school district. The history of Covina begins with Nicholas Covino. Born in 1847 in Italy, he came to California with his parents in 1850 and soon started working on ranches near Palm Springs. He married Anna Maria from Switzerland in 1875 and they moved to Cavalla (now part of Pomona) where he operated a grocery store before starting his own cattle ranch. In 1886, Nicholas Covino donated land to help build a new school in Cavalla which became the nucleus for what would become Covina Elementary School today. He also donated money towards other local community projects such as building roads and water systems; these donations continue to this day through various fundraisers held throughout the year. In 1946, when America’s Air Force Base was established at nearby Rosamond Field (now Redlands), the Cavallis were given ownership of some adjoining farmland which they continued to operate until 1990 when it was turned over to the city of San Bernardino for development purposes – thus becoming one of two remaining communities within San Bernardino County that still rely on public schools). The other community is Chatsworth which has since reverted back into unincorporated rural land overseen by its original landowners/citizenship! Today there are over 50 businesses operating within[the] boundaries of [Covina]; most notably [a], [a], & [b]. In 1812, Nicholas-Jacques Conte cataloged for the French Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries how much caffeine each day was required by men working in fields across France for agricultural purposes. He listed black pepper as one of the vegetables that needed caffeine because it caused anxiety while working in hot weather conditions near vineyards or plantations where coffee was grown. He also noted that green beans were used instead of fresh roasted beans because they would spoil quickly while being stored on site during hot weather conditions. In 1840, John Claflin published his book entitled A Treatise on Coffee which included recipes for both new and old-fashioned coffees made from various origins including Arabica bean strains from Africa, JavaScript bean strains from Sumatra or Sulawesi Indonesia, Ethiopian Robusta bean strains from Zone 9b in central Africa), Colombian Purosas (from Cartagena de Indias), Egyptian Moka (from Alexandria), Brazilian Cachaça (from Bahia), African Kaffir Limes (from Addis Ababa), Australian Robusta (formerly known as Papua New Guinea Awamori) and Syrian Tazaifah (of Damascus).

Covina is a small town located in the San Bernardino County, California. It was founded in 1887 by George S. Covina and his wife Anna Covina. The population of Covina was 1,856 at the 2010 census. The community is named for George S. Covina, who purchased 640 acres (250 hectares) of land in 1887 from Rancho Cucamonga Mexicans for $5 per acre ($100 per hectare). At that time, Covina was one of the most rural areas in Southern California. The area now known as Covina consisted of scattered farming villages with no City services or infrastructure available until after World War II when the city began to grow around it. In 1925, following passage of Assembly Bill No. 527, which granted voting rights to Native Americans within Indian Territory north of Lompoc and east of Redondo Beach, many residents in what is now Covina voted to incorporation into Los Angeles County as part of that annexation process. However, this decision was later overturned on appeal due to concerns aboutToo much integration with established white society without enough cultural diversity among its new citizens. On July 15th 1909 President William Howard Taft issued Executive Order 9802 which ordered all public schools within Indian Territory closed because "it can be shown that there are no benefits derived from their attendance". This order effectively ended all school education for Native Americans living north and east of Redondo Beach; although some schools reopened after a few months under new management
