In 1949, Harry Meyer passed away and his brother Fred took over his business – which would eventually become known as Café Boulangerie Harry Meyer. Over time, Café Boulangerie Harry Meyer has become one of the most well-known independent cafes in town with its unique style of French breakfast food served up fresh every morning from a small café inside their building on Main Street. Even today, Café Boulangerie Harry Meyer remains an important part of CUDAHY’S culinary heritage – both for its delicious French breakfast foods and for hosting monthly wine tastings featuring world-class wines from around Northern California

Cudahy is a small city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. The population was 3,482 at the 2010 census. It is located in the eastern San Fernando Valley on the border of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. The first settler in what became Cudahy was James Lyle Cudahy who arrived in 1847. The town was named for him. The post office was established here in 1851. In 1872, J.L Cudahy and his brother-in-law George Waddell founded the Central Pacific Railroad which passed through their town and then went on to provide cheap transportation for farmworkers and other settlers throughout Southern California during the early days of industrialization.
