Cup of Joe's Coffee was founded in Cypress, California in 1976 by Jerry and Karen Reeves. Cup of Joe's is a family-owned and operated business that has been serving coffee to the Cypress community for over 40 years. The Reeveses have always been passionate about their coffee and wanted to share it with others in the area. They started small, serving coffee from their home, but soon realized that they couldn't do it all alone. They needed help marketing their product and getting people excited about the taste of cup of Joe's coffee. In 1992, Karen met John Mahoney who had just opened his own restaurant called Blue Bottle Coffee in Cypress. Karen thought it would be a great idea to open her own coffee shop next door to Blue Bottle! The two women launched Cup of Joe's Coffee into what is now one of the top coffee businesses in Southern California!
