The first coffee shop in Delano, California was opened by the brothers Harry and Don Ambrose in 1924. The shop was known as the Harry Ambrose Coffee House. In 1938, the cafe moved to its current location on North Fourth Street. It served as a meeting spot for the town's social clubs and also offered coffee from local roasts. The cafe closed its doors in 1978 but reopened in 1984 as part of a nationwide chain of coffee shops called Tom's Coffee Shop.
Delano is a small town located in the Central Valley of California, about an hour and a half from Sacramento. It's home to over 6,000 people and is the location of the University of California at Davis. The community was founded in 1868 by two Presbyterian ministers, John Fenton and James W. Walton. The name comes from a rancho that was owned by José Angel María Delano, one of governor Manuel Nieto's advisors and son-in-law of Lady Monterey’s husband Don Felipe de Neve y Ulloa. In 1892, Delano became part of the newly formed Kings County district; it remains so to this day. Today, Delano boasts many interesting amenities: its wide open space perfect for sports teams and practices; its brand new high school (DH Gill High School), which opened in September 2006; its library with over 350,000 books or e-books on shelves; as well as its much needed post office which has been operational since 1913. Additionally, there are several businesses located within walking distance including various restaurants and cafes as well as several hardware stores and nurseries. The history ofDelano goes back even further than that! In 1868 two Presbyterian ministers – John Fenton (1825-1912) and James Walton (1795-1873) – founded the town after purchasing Rancho del Estero from José Angel María Delano for $4 per acre ($100 today). The townsite straddles what is now Interstate 5 just east of I-5 exit 134A near Bishop Ford Dam National Recreation Area - one mile north of Old Town #1 on US 506 just south of Rodeo Drive off SR 133B where today you can find a large outdoor mall with multiple anchor tenants like Macy’s, Sears & JCPenney among others

In 1536, Pope Gregory XIII authorized the importation of two hundred sacks of Arabica beans from Brazil to Rome. This was an important event because it allowed Europe to start developing its own espresso style of coffee drinking. Coffee became popular in Spain during the 17th century because it helped fuel the country's military effort against France during the War of Spanish Succession. Coffee started being exported to England soon after this war ended, and English people began to enjoy their new discovery! Coffee continued to be popular in England until about 1700 when tea took over as the main drink choice for British people!

Delano is a small town in the southern San Joaquin Valley of California, about 30 miles (48 km) north of Fresno and 50 miles (80 km) south of Bakersfield. The population was 1,323 at the 2010 census. It is located on U.S. Route 99, east of the Kern River and west of Delano Dam. The first European to visit what are now Delano and its vicinity was José Antonio de Almagro in 1775. He named it "Los Angeles" after his Spanish headquarters in that area at Mission Dolores. In 1836, Mexican Governor Manuel Micheltorena decided to move the capital from Mexico City to Monterey because San Francisco's isolation made it difficult for investorsafe investment in Californias new gold rush economy. A group led by John Sutter arrived at Monterey on July 24, 1836 and founded the city of Sacramento on September 14 with land grants from King Juan Bautista de Anza as part of Rancho El Dorado mission grant #823-A. Named for General George Washington Cabrillo who landed therewith his squadron on November 14, 1769 during his failed attempt to find a way across North America to Catharine II., USS Constitution Museum Foundation plaque says: "In memory of Commodore James Ketchum Cabrillo who landed here while exploring North America's West Coast in 1789." The first permanent settler were two brothers - Miguel Alvarado and Salvador Alvares - who came overland from their rancho near Temecula on October 15, 1830 using oxen drawn by mules and horses attached to long poles which they rode through sand dunes northeast towards their rancho at what is today Delano Townsite where they erected a small adobe cabin called Donner House which still stands today
Delano, California was founded in 1849 by the brothers John and David Delano. The town reached its peak population in the early 1860s with over 10,000 residents. However, the town's growth slowed after the completion of the Central Pacific Railroad in 1869. In 1875, Delano was incorporated as a city. The city experienced a period ofrowth and prosperity until World War II when it suffered from economic decline. In recent years, Delano has seen revitalization through increased development around its downtown area and new attractions such as the DELANO park on US 101.
