The store was open for a short time before moving to what is now known as the Old Capitol Building on Mayflower Avenue. In 1895, Prentice John Wesson purchased the store and renamed it Wesson's Gun Store. From 1895-1924, Wesson's store was located at 4th and Market Streets in Delano, CA. In 1924, Wesson’s moved to 9th and Masonic Streets in Delano and continued to sell guns until their closure in 1974. In 1892, J.D. Aiken opened up his own gun store with his son Jody Aiken on Main Street in Delano, CA because they couldn't find anyone who would sell them guns from Illinois (where they were based). The first gun that Jody Aiken sold was an English rifle called "The Rifle of Peace." It cost $75 ($4 today). The rifle was used for target shooting at local depots and also helped teach kids about firearms safety so that they wouldn't get hurt if they handled a firearm improperly or if someone else did something wrong with it (like firing it without cleaning it). From 1896-1899, Prentice John Wesson ran the business side of things at Wesson's Gun Store which offered handguns too (and later rifles) along with ammunition . They also had a small shop upstairs where people could buy tools like hammers & nails etc., as well as hats & clothing for women employees outside of work hours during the day while their husbands were home doing chores! This shop is still standing today! It wasn't until 1925 that Prentice JohnWesson became owner of all aspects of Wesson's Guns Stores company including owning both stores together on 9th street - which would later become known as "Wessons Firearms Inc." After purchasing both stores together he increased sales by adding more products lines like shotguns & rifles along with increasing production rates; becoming one of the largest handgun dealers in California! In 1934 he passed away suddenly after many years working hard at his business - leaving behind an legacy that continues onto this day!

Delano is a small town in the Central Valley of California, United States. It was founded in 1868 by brothers Charles and Lorenzo Delano, who were looking for a new home after moving from nearby Sacramento. The town was named after their father, Don Carlos Delano, who had been born in Delano, Italy. The population of Delano peaked at around 10,000 in the early 1920s but has declined since then; it currently resides at approximately 6,500. The first store in what is now Delano opened on Main Street on October 15th of that year. The store operated as a general store until 1865 when it became known as the "Fancy Store". In 1892 it changed its name to the "Oldtown Merchants Association Store." In 1907 the original post office was moved from Sacramento to Delano and remained there until 1959. The first school in what is now Delano opened on July 4th of that year with instruction being given by Mrs. Mabel Browning from Lodi. Classes were held every day except Monday because that day schools were closed for observance of Independence Day. The school continued operations until 1903 when it burned down due to an accidental fire which also destroyed many other buildings in town during that time period including Mrs. Browning's house and barn (now used as a library). It reopened under new management less than one week later and continued operation until 1915 when it closed again due to financial difficulties brought about by World War I dietary restrictions placed upon America at that time. In 1916 local farmers organized themselves into a cooperative to purchase supplies needed for their farm work thereby restoring the school's ability to operate intermittently during those years before finally closing permanently in 1918.. Delano’s first post office was located at 2nd & Main Streets between 1905-1907 while its current location was built 1912-14 adjacent to Painted Ladies Park across 3rd Street from where today's First Baptist Church stands just east of Interstate 5 south of Route 34 (just west of Old Town Square). Examination boards advertising mail service were set up throughout town soon after opening tho' not actually operative until 1909 when mail service began operating through private citizens who wired instructions back home regarding local events/news items they wanted forwarded along with images or videos should they be desired
Delano was founded by Leland Stanford in 1881 on the San Joaquin River. The town grew rapidly due to its location close to the railroad and water resources, as well as its agricultural industry. In 1907, Delano became an incorporated city. The city's growth continued into the 20th century with the addition of several new neighborhoods including Sunset Park and Pacific Heights. After World War II, Delano experienced rapid growth thanks to its ties to the military and aerospace industries. The population reached nearly 100,000 in 1970 but declined to 80,000 by 1990 amid suburban development and a drop in manufacturing activity. Today, Delano is a small town with a population of around 60 thousand people
