The Diamond Bar National Guard is a unit of the United States military which is responsible for the defense of the state. The organization was first organized in 1906 and has served in various wars including World War II, Operation Neptune's Spear, and Desert Storm. The Diamond Bar National Guard currently consists of over 5,000 soldiers and Marines who are headquartered at the command post located on I-10 in downtown Diamond Bar. The history of the Diamond Bar National Guard can be traced back to 1906 when a group of citizens from DiamondBar formed a local militia to protect their community against possible attacks by Mexicans. Over time, this militia grew into what is now known as the Diamond Bar National Guard. In 1926, the California Legislature passed legislation that authorized each city in California to form its own police department with full authority to arrest suspects without warrants and issue subpoenas. This gave rise to what is now known as "the Davis Act." In 1936, two members of the DiamondBar Municipal Council were killed during an attempted robbery inside a local store. As a result, Mayor Arie Wiesel called for a special session of the City Council that would authorize formation of a national guard to provide security for locals during times of peace or emergency. On October 3rd, 1942, President Franklin D Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066 which activated all American forces overseas under World War II mobilization decree No. 1097-41 (Order 1097). The order called for all men aged 18 years or older who resided within one million miles of any U.S.—including California—to report to military enlistment centers immediately and signs up for service in specific categories such as artillery corps infantry divisions air corps fighter groups naval aviation brigades tank battalions armor divisions motorized rifle divisions coastal artillery batteries]. After Pearl Harbor had been bombed on December 7th 1941,[7], Japanese forces began landing throughout America[8] with Japan's goal being domination over Southeast Asia while America was focused on repelling German aggression in Europe[9]. With America's economy deteriorating rapidly due to war shortages,[10], Draft Board numbers reached 2 million by September 1942[11], making it difficult for people living outside metropolitan areas unable or unwilling to serve.[12] By November 1942 only 9 percent complete with just under 1 million designated draft cardholders; most Americans were still working and spending money they didn't have[13],[14]. On January 6th 1943 President Franklin D Roosevelt issued Executive Order 8802 giving every American male age 18 years or older six months notice before induction into military service; those who did not sign up were considered enemiesofthee [15]. Men between 25-34 years old received three months notice whereas those 35 years old and younger received five days notice[16],[17]. Men between 45-54 years old received ten days notice but no telephone notification so they had no way to avoid induction if they wanted out; these men also could not vote until after their induction term ended.[18] By February 15th 1943 there were only about 350 individuals left unaccounted for from both drafted males and civilians who either did not respond or chose not to serve because war was ending soonest or because they died before it did (about 100% deaths among draftees)[19],[20]; however by March 1st only 137 individuals remained unaccountedroughly seventy percent die by death from natural causes while twenty percent became POWs/MIAs (POW/MIA status cannot be determined from available records).[21],[22] However many draftees decided never again To try Again after seeing pictures propaganda depicting terrible things that could happen if they returned home(such as 4 brothers executed simply because their parents refused them entry into active duty).[23],[24]). The National guard was established on September 15, 1935 by an act of Congress and it became operational on October 1, 1935. The National Guard Bureau was created within the Department of Defense in 1947 and it was made clear that the mission of the National Guard should be to provide resources for national defense. The current structure and organization of the National Guard has been changed several times since its inception and it can now be considered as a full-fledged U.S. military service with its own command structure and funding system. The history of theNational Guard cannot be fully understood without exploring its roots in American society. For centuries, militias have been an important part of American society and they have played an important role in law enforcement, warfare, and civic engagement. In recent decades, militia groups have come to symbolize different aspects of contemporary conservatism while also embodying some progressive values such as democracy, human rights, free speech, and environmentalism. As a result, militia donations are seen as a key way to promote these values through public opinion polling and other means. There are three types of gifts that are common among militia members: clothing (uniforms or caps), weaponry (firearms or shotguns), or equipment (primarily vehicles). On July 8, 1942, the Diamond Bar National Guard received its first Boeing B-24 Liberator bomber aircraft from the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF). This aircraft became the regiment's primary means of transportation and support during World War II. In 1946 the Diamond Bar National Guard received its second Boeing B-24 Liberator bomber aircraft from the USAF. This aircraft became operational as a troop transport and provided strategic bombardment support against Japan during World War II. In 1952, Major General George Custer resigned his position with the U.S. military and entered civilian life to serve as Commandant of theDiamond Bar National Guard Regiment effective September 1, 1952 following confirmation by both Houses of Congress that he had met all requirements for appointment including having completed three years honorable service in uniform with no interruption therein since 1941 when he joined up with Company K 2nd Battalion The American Legion (Diamond Bar) at Riverside County Fairgrounds while also serving concurrently as battalion adjutant colonel of that same battalion; now being commanded by Brigadier General Arthur Hoey who is Colonel USAFE District Director Las Vegas NV USFK & Commander 9th Infantry Brigade Combat Team - Nevada desert Component
Diamond Bar is a small town in San Diego County, California, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the larger city of San Diego. Diamond Bar is located on the east side of Interstate 5 and has a small business district which includes two shopping malls: JCPenney and Sears. Diamond Bar was first established as a mining camp by prospectors in 1867. The name "Diamond Bar" came from the fact that many of the coal mines in this area were diamond-bearing rocks. In 1898, Diamond Bar became one of six towns incorporated into San Diego County when it was created from parts of Otay Mesa and La Mesa. The population peaked at 2,664 in 1920 but declined to 1,859 in 1930 before recovering to 1,711 by 2010. The community's economy depends largely on agriculture and water supply for irrigation purposes; however, some businesses have ventured into other sectors such as manufacturing and healthcare services since 2000. There are also several restaurants and bars located within walking distance of most residents' homes or businesses.
