The California Army National Guard has a rich and colorful history in El Monte. The unit was first organized in 1881, and served as a militia until 1912. In that year, the National Guard was re-established as an infantry regiment, and remained so until 1941. During World War II, the regiment fought in all three wars against Nazi Germany; it also took part in numerous campaigns throughout the state of California. After the war, the military arm of the County government was merged into the National Guard and it continues to serve this purpose to this day. Today, there are over 16,000 active duty soldiers and civilians members of the CA ANG units scattered throughout Southern California. For more than 125 years since its inception, El Monte’s CA ANG has played an important role in keeping our community safe and secure. From providing security at local events to providing law enforcement with essential equipment during emergencies or any time of need – our troops have always been committed to their community partners!

El Monte is a city in San Bernardino County, California and the seat of El Monte Township. The population was 46,521 at the 2010 census. It is the most populous town in San Bernardino County and one of the five cities located within Los Angeles County. The name "El Monte" comes from Spanish words meaning "the mountain peak." The first Europeans to visit what is now El Monte were Franciscans who founded Mission San Gabriel Arcángel on October 29, 1781. They also founded Mission Dolores on November 6, 1784. The community of El Monte was platted in 1887 by J. P. Morgan and James Fenton as part of an area they called Riverside Township (now known as Gardena). In 1902, it became part of southern Los Angeles County when Riverside County was created from parts of two other counties – Orange and Los Angeles – following the 1906 consolidation of Southern California municipalities into a single county. In 1923, Charles Wolk developed a citrus groves near present-day downtown El Monte for use by American Cyanamid Corporation's orange juice plants in Anaheim and Fullerton; Wolk's orchards remain among Ventura County's largest commercial assets east of Interstate 5. American Cyanamid left those plants in 1957 after divestiture by Procter & Gamble; thereafter, Citrus Heights Farms operated as a family-owned cow farm until 1984 when it reverted to public ownership under private management particulars that remain unchanged to this day including approximately 2 million acres (10 km²) currently irrigated with recycled water from silver mines outside Chino Hills

In addition to financial contributions from civilians, Army units also received donated equipment such as trucks and artillery pieces during World War II thanks to generous donations from individuals or businesses across the country. Military donation has continued throughout times since then; however, it's now more commonly done through online platforms like GoFundMe or eBay where donors can easily search for specific items they want to donate or support their favorite organization. This way there's no need for face-to-face contact between donor and recipient which can often create trust issues between groups or individualsinvolved in donation chains (eBay specifically). Additionally internet donation platforms make it easy for people all over the world to give without having any geographical limitations which can be beneficial during times of conflict or emergency (GoFundMe especially). These platforms also allow donors who are not able to visit local facilities or meet potential beneficiaries directly (i e., victims)or those who may be too embarrassed (i e., soldiers)to do so at their own home/office/shopfront/event venue(s). Allowing people all over the world access to these resources allows them greater opportunity than ever before when it comes time for giving back!
In 1895, the United States Civil War ended with the surrender of General Robert E. Lee and his Confederate army at Appomattox Court House in Virginia. In accordance with the Treaty of Paris, the Union forces surrendered all their Confederate soldiers and equipment to the Confederate government. The Confederacy was dissolved and its remaining military units were disbanded or disbanded entirely within a few years.
El Monte, California is a small city in the Inland Empire region of Southern California. It has a population of about 113,000 people and is located on the San Gabriel Mountains near the Mexican border. The first permanent European settlers in what is now El Monte were Franciscan missionaries who arrived in 1821. The Mission Santa Anita was founded here in 1827 and remain one of the most active missions in all of Central California. A number of other Missions followed throughout history including Rancho San Fernando (1835), Mission Dolores (1837), and Mission Bernardo (1839). The city's growth began to accelerate after World War II when many jobs grew available as defense contractors moved into the area. El Monte became an important center for aerospace manufacturing, which continues to be a major economic force today. There are also several colleges and universities located within easy reach of El Monte, including Monterrey State University and Claremont Graduate University.
El Monte was founded in 1887 by wagon driver James Irvine. The city's current location and name were derived from its original name of "Prairie City". A post office was established at El Monte in 1889, and the town rapidly grew. In 1912, El Monte became part of the newly formed San Bernardino County. In 1951, the United States Air Force moved its headquarters from Gilroy to El Monte. The headquarters remained until 1992 when it relocated to Rialto, California. In 1996, a new courthouse was built in downtown El Monte and opened for business on November 1, 1996.
