The El Paso De Robles Army and Air Force Base was established on December 8, 1941 by General Douglas MacArthur with the mission of providing military support for the United States during World War II. The base has since grown to be one of the largest in the Western Hemisphere, housing over 193,000 military personnel and civilians. Since its inception, El Paso De Robles Army and Air Force Base has been home to a number of significant gifts from various members of society. Some of these include: an airfield that served as a training ground for both American and RAF pilots during World War II; an ammunition dump that housed over two million rounds of artillery fire during Operation Avalanche in 1945; and a library that serves as one of the largest single holdings within the National Guard Bureau. The El Paso De Robles Battalion of the United States Infantry was founded on October 25, 1847. It was the first battalion of infantry organized in California. The battalion was disbanded in 1861.
El Paso De Robles is a small town in the Inyo County, California region. The population was 5,569 at the 2010 census. It is located in the El Paso Canyon National Monument. The community of Roblesville sits on a hilltop overlooking the town and its valley. The first Europeans to arrive in this area were members of Captain Juan Bautista de Anza's party that explored the Owens Valley in 1769-1770. They named their new location San José de la Laguna after Santiago, Los Angeles (then Spanish for "Saint Joseph"). In 1847, prospectors discovered gold at El Paso De Robles Creek and started mining there. By 1851, over 1 million dollars had been brought in from goldmining operations throughout California. The towns of San Francisco and Sacramento grew up around these mines; however, by 1870 all but one of these mines had closed due to competition from more recent finds in Nevada and Colorado. The last mine operated at Pahrump Hills near present-day Sierra Vista until it closed down in 1922 due to depletion of resources; however, a commemorative plaque still stands near the old mine entrance today commemorating this event). A post office called San Antonio opened at Pahrump Hills on November 15th, 1875; however it was closed on December 24th because no mail could be delivered between Carson City and Pahrump Hills because of the distance (the nearest railroad station was at Escondido). A year later an act entitled "An Act To establish a Post Office within said Territory" was filed with Congress by Senator John Cushing which became law on February 3rd, 1876; however it was not until May 9th when Robert Humble resigned as Postmaster General effective May 8th so he could open an office at White Sands Army Cemetery just outside El Paso De Robles where he died incidentally few weeks later on May 21st after many years serving this important post) creating what is now known as Humble HillPost Offices (). On February 2nd 1880 another act entitled "An Act To Provide For The Establishment Of A Treasury And Civil Government Within said Territory" became law establishing what is now known as Forest Service Headquarters (); though it would not be operational until 1902 when Congress passed an act entitled "An Act Appropriating Appropriations For Public Works Within said Territory" providing for its establishment effective March 4th (). Finally on July 10th1892 an act entitled "An Act To Establish A School District Within said Territory" became law establishing El Paso Union High School (). All three acts were approved by President Ulysses S Grant who signed them into law without comment or protest!

El Paso De Robles is a city in Riverside County, California, United States. The population was 1,815 at the 2010 census. It is the historical namesake of El Paso County and the current county seat of El Paso. The city was founded by William Blythe on November 10, 1853 as a wagon stop on the Mexican–American War route from Los Angeles to San Diego. The first post office in town was established on December 1, 1853; it later became known as "Robles". Agrarianism characterized early days in this region and many families were self-sufficient with their own land and animals. They raised chickens, pigs, ducks, horses and cows until railroads came through and brought Agriculture into greater prominence in America. The first school in town was built on the corner of Main and Paseo Streets in 1854; it served grades one through seven until 1913 when it moved to its present location across from City Hall. In 1893 major improvements were made to what is now City Hall which included a new brick building that replaced an adobe structure dating back to 1828. In 1902 Mayor Antonio Moreno erected a plaque located at 100 Elmira Street commemorating his role as mayor during the time El Paso De Robles experienced significant growth thanks to annexation by Riverside County (later renamed Orange County). Since then much renovation has been done including additions of a library/gallery wing addition in 2003-2004 as well as replacement of several historic properties within downtown core over time including the old armory (1895) which still stands today adjacent to City Hall’s original facade – one of only two remaining examples of pre-1910 American architecture left standing statewide! In late 2007 community concerns about rising crime rates led Mayor Moreno to issue an emergency order suspending all business operations for three hours pending further review pursuant to article VI section 6(b) of the California Municipal Code Sections 8100 et seq., effective immediately! This was followed by another order suspending all services effective Sunday morning September 9th 2008 after increasing complaints about criminal activity being conducted without proper warrants or notification to residents! On October 2nd 2008 Mayor Moreno issued another emergency order restoring normal business operations but subjecting themto strict regulation under article VII section 7(a)of CA Municipal Code Section 8200 et seq., effective immediately! This followidng up Order resultedin continued protests from local businesses who claimed they had not been properly notified nor had any ability nor desire whatsoever To participate or bargain withCity Officials regarding their concerns about crime rates etc...Mayor Moreno announced following thisorder that he would be returning To His original plan which involved suspending services while awaiting more definitive information From Law Enforcement About potential solutions…This decision effectively ended any hopes Of Resolution or Prevention For Crime In The City Which Have Been steadily On The Increase Over The past few Years!. Although there have been occasional incidents Of Criminals slipping Through The cracks And Sobeit Unannounced Attacks Or Crimes Just recently Occurring Within Our Community These are far outweighed By Overall occurrences Of Fraudulent Activity Which Are Increasing At An alarming rate & Clearly Affecting alot OF People Who rely On Our Services!
