Maga Coffee is a coffee company located in Eureka, California. Maga Coffee was founded in 2002 by Aaron and Pamela Sager. The company started with four beans - Sumatra, Java, Mexico and Kenya - and began selling coffee online. In 2006, the company opened its first store in Eureka.
Eureka is a small town in Northern California, located about 60 miles north of San Francisco. The town was founded in 1851 by John D. Watt, who named it for the discovery of oil in an area now known as Eureka County. By 1870, the population had grown to over 100 people and the name was changed to Eureka after being selected as the site of a public stockade used by miners during the Gold Rush. The first post office opened in 1875 and soon became home to businesses such as a bakery, hardware store, and gristmill. In 1883, local businessman James Waddell built what is now known as Waddell House on Main Street. As early as 1887, Eureka had become an important transportation hub with connections to nearby towns such as Stockton and San Jose. For many years following World War II, there were several large employers in the town including General Motors Corporation and Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Company (PTT). However, economic decline began to set in during the late 1990s and 2000s due to various factors including global recession and increases in housing prices. By 2013, Eureka's population had declined below its pre-recession level and its only remaining business was a single grocery store which closed in 2015. Despite this setback, recent efforts have begun to revive the community through initiatives such as entrepreneurship programs and cultural events.
The history of maga coffee began with the Ottoman Empire. In 1453, Sultan Mehmed II decreed that coffee should be introduced into his empire as a means of providing an energy source for the army and to improve communication between different parts of the empire. Coffee was first brewed in small villages near Istanbul. The coffee beans were roasted on small fires and then ground into a coarse powder. In 1576, Ottoman coffee traders discovered Java (now Indonesia) and started importing Indonesian coffee from that country. By 1600, Turkish traders had also begun carrying coffee back to Turkey from Yemen, Syria, Persia (Iran), India, and other parts of the Islamic world. Turkish merchants brought over all kinds of plants and animals to cultivate in their new plantations: rice, maize, sugarcane, cotton seedlings, chickens etc. Coffee grew rapidly in these new plantations and soon became one of the most important crops in Turkey’s economy. In 1618–19, during Ottoman rule over Anatolia (the region that includes modernTurkey), a group of Armenians who had converted to Islam started growing pod-grown beans under Muslim rule at Yerevan (Istanbul). This experiment was not successful but later Armenians began growing maga beans again at Van (Aydin) after they gained access to better soil conditions there from Christian farmers elsewhere in Anatolia. By 1624–25 Ottoman administrative officials visited Yerevan and noticed that Armenian women were growing maga beans there; this led to the idea among some Turks that Armenia might be able to become an independent principality if it could produce good quality coffee. In 1627–28 Ibrahim Pasha decided against this idea because he felt that an independent Armenia would only threaten Turkey’s political stability – which would have been disastrous for Erdogan’sullah Republic project launched two years earlier! However Armenian nationalism did take root among some Armenians living outside Armenia proper after 1628/29; so when Ibrahim finally abandoned his plans in 1629/30 we can say that Maga Coffee really did come about as part of post-Ottoman Turkish caffeine culture! Maga Coffee quickly became very popular throughout Anatolia due its unique flavor profile combined with its high caffeine content – making it perfect for espresso drinks or for drinking straight up! Over time however certain areas within Anatolia – such as Hakkari Province – got very little access to maga coffee while others like Konya Province enjoyed larger production quantities than average due to good soils & climate conditions thereabouts! Finally by 1836 all traces of maga bean production had disappeared from Asia Minor… thus ending our long association with this fascinating beverage!

Eureka is located in the California Central Valley on the east side of San Francisco Bay. After gold was discovered there in 1848, prospectors began to come to Eureka looking for new opportunities and found a deposit of silver in 1859. The town was founded by John C. Fremont and named after his discovery of oil wells near Eureka Springs, Nevada. The boomtown quickly became known for its cotton gin, millinery, and meat market as well as its natural resources such as copper and shale gas. In 1868, the town's first post office was opened; it continued to serve until 1911. By the late 19th century, however, Eureka had become an important manufacturing center with a population of over 100 families. It also became known for its progressive political values and opposition to white supremacy. During World War II, Eureka played an instrumental role in repelling Japanese forces during the Pacific Theater; its military hospital treated many soldiers who were wounded or captured during the war. In 1949, following a fire that destroyed much of the town's infrastructure, Eureka reverted back to its original name - continuing until 1975 when it changed again to Suisun City.
Eureka was founded on December 12, 1846, by John C. Fremont and his brothers-in-law, David W. Hunt and George Stephenson. The site chosen for the new town was next to a natural gas well dug by Alexander Graham Bell. The first post office at Eureka was established on December 15, 1846. On February 14, 1847, the county of Humboldt voted to form a new government with Eureka as its capital. On March 10th, Governor David W. Hunt arrived in Eureka with orders to begin construction of the Central Pacific Railroad. He also ordered that all buildings in the town be destroyed so that no traces of the town could be found when the railroad was built and opened up later in 1849. The first school in Eureka was built on Church Street near present day State Route 299 about 1850-1851 by Mrs Rebecca Gamble and Dr James Kappes from Sacramento County. In 1865 Rev Fenton Key opened an academy on First Street which became full time after he donated land for it in 1868/9 . The Academy closed in 1903 but has been preserved as part of California State University atSacramento's Museum Of History & Art since 1967
